Hey great cover mate! I first heard this song on a PS2 game called Marc Echos getting up ( spray painting game, MC is called Trane & with him & some other groups acting as resistance against the Mayor, CCK & vandal squad who oppose Free speech set in a fictional NYC called New Radius the game uses Graffiti as a tool to fight back) Anyway I heard this song when it came to the winter part of the game & it suited it very well. I wanted to learn the song but as soon as I got to that solo..I was stumped..no tabs existed for it back in 2006 so I learned up to the solo..I eventually did learn the solo by ear & messing around on the fretboard..took a while. Recently relearned the song with the solo. I saw someone playing on Rocksmith..& was surprised at how uncomplicated the solo was.. it just sounds mental. Great playing & love the energy! Im happy to find someone who plays this solo. Almost everyone either improvises or just doesnt play it at all. Love the camera work too. I noticed when you play the main riff your not strumming repeatedly you strum, slide strum. Which is what I hear on the song..I dont hear any fast strumming at that part anyway..maybe some folk just want to add more notes. All the best 👍 & keep playing 🎸 🤘
