As a photo-journalist back in the nineties, it was my privilege to jump with the Golden Knights there in South Carolina. A friend of mine in Simpsonville, KY is a retired special forces Colonel in Afghanistan and he got me in. I ended up jumping twice, but not over Fort Knox (smile). The Knights are the best of the best in my opinion. Their job is public relations, but always ready to deploy to a combat zone at a moments notice. I wrote several articles for newspapers and magazines, complete with photographs. It was a successful endeavor for us both.

What happened to Dixon on the final lap ? He was 4 seconds ahead of Dan with 2 to go. Dario was out of fuel for sure because he didn't pit at all, but they pitted Dixon with 21 laps to go. Maybe they haven't put enough fuel and was short half a lap ?

When Pato backed out before T3, I thought he had made the winning move. Incredible finish and I was really content by end that the winner deserved to be the winner after the constant back and forth in the last 50 laps. An epic finish!

I like race commentary before it was a screaming competition between the hosts. If I wanted to hear some whiny, nasally, voiced guy needlessly screaming at me, I would have stayed in the military.

Used to go to the 500 but also the other races Sprint car little 500, champ cars on dirt, now I can't name or know who the driver's are or care.

This is one thing ( the Indy 500) that never gets old or predictable…

I wish they would rewiden the turns like they used to be..it would especially been helpful for the cup cars. It was done originally to slow the Indy cars down around 1990..it did for a while, but that's history.. they could use that extra asphalt in the turns now
