Omg you’re so lucky! She’s incredible, even without insanely high budgets like Sabrina Carpenter or Taylor Swift she is still so engaging and dynamic. I hope you had fun! 🕷️💜✨

do you know what the setlist was or how many songs they did? i cant find it anywhere lmao
@alexis.dayfoot7 ай бұрын
I don't remember. They were on stage from 7:30-8:50 with a short break to before an encore. so I'd say probably an hour and fifteen minutes. I'd check the location of the show on Instagram (The Pearl) and maybe Reddit if that info isn't on setlist.fm.

Oh my Gods, he did this in Toronto, and at the end, his parents are in the audience, right, and he's like, "Mom, dad, I have something to tell you. I'M JUST KIDDING, they knew before I did." XD FUNNY guy. And very kind. He took his time talking to all of us afterwards, even though it was after midnight when we all got out of Massey. Total sweetheart. I'm hoping to see him with my music teacher next time, since he and I have been working on learning Jeremy's entire catalogue together.
@alexis.dayfoot10 ай бұрын
That's so awesome!! He came out in Vancouver as well but he'd just done another cover that made me cry so I didn't wait after. He's a phenomenal performer and it was my third time seeing him. Definitely take your teacher to see him!
@ActiveAdvocate110 ай бұрын
@@alexis.dayfoot, oh, he made me cry twice--once during Take My Hand, as I knew he would and said beforehand that he would--but also once during Together We Emerge, but two different kinds of tears in those cases. I think I was overwhelmed by Together We Emerge time, because I'm a singer and a pianist, too, which is why I have and ADORE my teacher, but then what really got me was, "I thought singing literally with your entire body was a METAPHOR." I'm a good enough singer that I can hear where you're getting your air from and where it's going, and he was getting it FROM everywhere TO everywhere. Like, okay, if you can't sing, you might not get this, but you'll definitely get it if you can: everyone gets air JUST from their lungs in reality, duh, but for a singer, it's also the support that matters. Only when I am entirely in the zone can I use, well...MOST of my upper body for support? But he was doing his thing, and I was like, "Jesus, I didn't know you could get support from your sacrum." Tailbone. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he's damn near seven feet tall? I met him after the fact, right, and he has NNO intimidation factor whatsoever--he's too nice--but the one and only instant I felt intimidated was when he stood up. I'm five feet tall. I went up to his ELBOW. My music teacher is Sicilian, right, and about five foot four, and he's SO Gods damned sweet, but in terms of being dwarfed, he wouldn't do much better than me. Not the point, though: I'm taking him next time. Or rather he's taking me because I can't drive, but I'd pay for his ticket. There was this, like, interlude thing where he got all of us to yell at him, right--song requests, criticism, compliments, etc., and THANK YOU Mario for my singer lungs, because I can PROJECT, but I put my hands around my mouth to get some distance and I yelled out, "NATIVE LAND BACK!!!" Pretty sure the entire house heard me, because he did. He said, "See? I told you it was the yelling portion of the show." XD I whisper-screamed it at him again when I met him and he's like, "Oh, that was you!" Haha, he's so charming. So now I'm going to do that every time I see him, Gods willing I get another opportunity. Anyway, thank you for letting me ramble on this long.
@alexis.dayfoot9 ай бұрын
@@ActiveAdvocate1 loved to read your ramble!! The first time I saw him was in 2019 when he was touring the first album and I completely understand where you're coming from!! He did the same that time, came out and said hi after and I told him when he was performing it felt like him and the piano were floating towards me 😂 he really has that ability to make you feel like you're the only person in the room but also not the only person in the room! After that first time I brought a bunch of friends the next time and they were very impressed, especially as pianists themselves. I played the piano for 10+ years and the amount of dedication it takes to do what he does is impressive. I can understand about singing as well, I haven't done by any means the type of training I'm sure he's done or you've done, but I know what you mean when it is his entire body he uses when he sings. He's through and through a performer and an artist. I'm excited to see him again and I'm glad you are too ❤️ it's important to share any music you can feel is so intensely encompassing like his.
@ActiveAdvocate19 ай бұрын
@@alexis.dayfoot, "the only person in the room but not the only person in the room", OH MY GODS, somebody finally put it into words. No seriously, that's exactly it. He made me feel SEEN, like, as an individual, but it was a COLLECTIVE experience. It's got to be the performer in him, or just some of that natural magnetism. But then when I was talking to him, I was "the only person in the room", as it were. Next time, I said to my piano/vocal teacher, I want to bring him, or, rather, he drive me because I'm blind in my left eye, so me driving is not a good idea. But the one other person in my life who I know for certain appreciates Jeremy is the Mario (said teacher), given that the Mario is ALSO a piano/vocal god. I remember swaying to him once, "Okay, if you could trade me and teach Jeremy instead, would you up and abandon me/", and he was like, "Are you kidding me? I wouldn't be teaching him, I'd be begging him for lessons!" And I'm just like, "Wow, you REALLY haven't heard yourself sing recently, have you?" Trust me when I say, the Mario can do it like Jeremy can. And yes he is specifically "THE" Mario. For reference, by the way, you were seeing Jeremy live right when I was first hearing his music. My dad plugged me into him that November in 2019, and as a musician myself, right, it's just like, "Um, HI? Which layer of Heaven did you come down from?"
