Great video. Can you explain what you used to connect the 1-1/4" pool hose to the garden hose. I am having a tough time figuring out this connection. What size pipe did you use inside the 1-1/4" pool hose. What pvc connectors did you use to connect the pool hose to the garden hose.

Hi, I see that you have comments turned off most of your videos but not this one. I really wanted to ask you a question about your video "Awesome pool heater". I am trying to do something very similar. I want to use the small pump to get the water out of the pool but I cant figure out how you connected the garden hose to the 1-1/4" pool hose that goes into the pump. Could you help outline the parts used to do this, I would be so grateful. Thank you

My 07 gttdi didn’t need the grille drilled for the left bolt, there’s a hole in prep. £11 in Uk from eBay for new latch.

Thank you so much!❤ let me add to what's already a great video. The hole in the middle behind the emblem you don't need to cut it. You can pull the hood up a little and disconnect the sensor by pushing a small clip and the latch cable. Thanks again I was going to be very ashamed of myself if i wasn't able to open it

If you still have a latch that's functional, but sticking due to old age, is it possible to just clean and lubricate the existing mechanism rather than spending that much on a new one?

Yes. Definitely go with the lube. Hope it adds enough life to your part so you never need to replace it

Hey, I just watched your pool heater BBQ video and wondered how you got on increasing the temperature? did you add more pipe? I was thinking you may get a significant increase in temperature by insulating the pipe carrying the heated water and potentially even around the BBQ as well Unsure how cost and time effective this would be. You could measure it by Change in (Temperature * Flowrate)/Dollar = KgT/s$ compared to slowing the water or and/ or adding more pipe

Looked for this comment, I was recommended his pool bbq heater video too. I don’t think he knows that when you leave the “is this video for kids” option on, it disables comments.

To heat your 3000 gallon pool to 80 degrees from 70 degrees would take four hours with a proper pool heater probably closer to 10 hours with a low surface area heat exchanger or approximately 2 1/2 propane tanks as far as flow rate is concerned a higher flow rate will give you a better thermal transfer coefficient the water will gain less temperature per molecule as it travels through but more molecules of water will travel through and gain heat faster than if it was flowing slower where each molecule heats up more but less water goes to the system

Try a charcoal/webber style grill with a hard wood like oak . I bet it will make more heat faster for less money than buying propane

I think cooking on this setup might cause illness as there was a Flux residue on the BBQ grill. Since I made this video, copper has more than doubled in price. The Scrap yard is calling me LOL

Absolutely fantastic. Had to come here to comment from your other of these videos that doesn’t take comments. Nothing really different than a home hydronic heat system. Circulating water passing through either an oil fired boiler or a gas fired boiler. Great job

I may actually have a solution for you instant tankless water heaters come in a variety of sizes and capacities run on electric or gas even propane they are very efficient and can heat up water very fast here's a link to an example kzbin.info/www/bejne/r53CmpKOiJimjrM

For anyone going to pull their emblem off - keep watching. You can easily access all of the screws just by removing the front badge grill. Remove the two screws on either side, pull the two tabs and the whole thing lifts right off. This video explains a little more in depth kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5rXmKZ9etGMkMk
