I love this version of Opiate. It’s pretty awesome that they reworked the song, of which was one of the first legitimate Tool songs that sounds like Tool song, to have it resembled their where they are today and the vast difference in sound and composition between early Tool and modern Tool. Danny’s drumming I think is one of the most significant differences between the two eras of the band. Seriously nothing on the Opiate EP or Undertow comes anywhere close to how Danny skills and how he plays today, nor how the band sound now given they’re music veterans and heavy weights. They’re not just some metal band in their Mid-20’s with a front man that acts insane on stage yelling at us that he can say whatever he damn well pleases and we can all just go fuck ourselves if we’ve got anything to say about. Tool, as in the idea of Tool as band, the concept of what Tool is has been entirely fleshed out. They know what they’re about, they know what their strengths are and what their weaknesses are. They know what they wanna say and how they wanna say it. The progression of Tool mirrors the progression of the members as people themselves, having become wiser and 30 year more experience in life and the world. Let’s also not forget, Tool was formed all because Maynard yelled “you suck” to a band playing in some bar, and one of members yelled back “you think you could do it better?!” and thus Tool was born, and Tool did it much, much, much better in every conceivable way. So it’s pretty awesome to see them take the one song on their EP that sort of hinted at what Tool would later become on their subsequent records Aenima, Lateralus, and 10,000 Days; and reworked it into a Modern Tool song. If you threw Opiate^2 onto Fear Inoculum, it’d sound right at home stylistically and and composition.

QUESTION: Maybe I'm a beginner, but after I used this kit to clean my guitar, it has a really strange sound. It sounds like if I would always be using the rear pick up with a lot of hall-reverb. Has this happened to anyone of you guys? How did you solve the problem?

Disappointing video. No sound samples. You don't say how much it weighs or how well it balances. We have no sense of how good the result is except visually.

This piece of junk came faulty from arrival for me. It constantly goves feedback sounding like a robotic voice, and when its giving that kind of feedback , i have to place it on my skinto avoid standard feedback! Not sure whats up with that but i noticed that if i touched my phone or the riff itself that it would kill the light static feedback . So i have been recording in shorts with it on my leg😂. When the robotic feedback starts i have to stop recording and plug /unplug up to 20 times before it works as its supposed to. I am soley recording on my iphone and had no trouble with my $2 counterfeit irig device i bought of temu, i just wanted to improve the quality. Emailed positive grid twice and no response. I am guessing mine was a return, as i had no wrap on the screen with scratches present aswell. I will be taking back to where i bought , its just an hours drive away , but i am immediately put off from buying from this company due to being ignored

Best tutorial ever! So i got some of the cream of Carnauba on one of my gold humbuckers. Tried rubbing it off. Now it's hazy and gross. Any advice? I know gold hardware is more delicate too, so I'm open to suggestions. Thanks

Kind of confused on their fretboard conditioners. There's the brown one, the lemon yellow one, and the white coconut one. Do they all serve a different purpose? Should they be used together?
@jaquiroquilantang81262 ай бұрын
same question, did u get any answers? since the lemon oil isnt included in the kit im assuming its fine to just use the brown one on its own

Maynard needs to give it up. He basically gave up a few albums ago. They should just be instrumental at this point.

When I was growing up, my family practiced within the occult, and pulled a lot of different ideas, so I've seen and heard a lot. But if you're looking at the Judeo-Christian message, it's straightforward. People have been working for and against those scripts for who knows how long? But at this point, the message of that religion as it is describes God as loving humanity. Angels and demons both can say the same exact phrase from the same book with two different meanings. Demons and angels both seek the same things for different reasons. The most destructive lie is mostly solid truth with a subtle twist. Demons emulate angels as much as they possibly can without compromising malice. And angels and demons can stand in the same room, saying the same phrases, with completely different intentions. Demons seek to isolate you, to abuse you, to bring you to madness. Angels lead you away from the crowd, to strengthen you, and give you peace away from the poison in the collective, and to bring you clarity. I think that it makes sense to say, that if I want to know the truth, I'll look for it with a pure heart, with hope, love, and determination. If I want to know someone, I'll find them out for myself. If I want to know someone, I'm not going to let someone else tell me who they are, I'm going to find them out for myself. What matters is that you see someone as they really are. I'm going to find them out for myself, regardless of what people say about them, even if they claim to be close. I can't really even bear to be around the majority of people who claim to be Christians at this point. I can't listen to what they try to say anymore. I know that Jesus is a legitimate person, and that you can seek and knock, and the door will be opened to you. If I knock on The Christ's door, I know that I'll be invited as coming to the house of my closest friend who will always tell me the truth and it allows me to see the lies in the "church". You have to know that your relationship to your local church, and what they think about Jesus, is not always real in the slightest. A lot of churches are just demons reading from the same book. Demons mock the ideal relationship as closely as they can.
