Absolutely my favorite version of this song. I bought Wet Willie II in downtown Mobile AL during my trip to the state Key Club convention and was anointed. I was 12-years old and only a prospective member cause I was in the eighth grade. I'm still listening.

Wet Willie had the goods. Jimmy was a white soul/blues belter of the finest order. A righteously miracle of a harp player who also played a mean sax. John Anthony might have been the tastiest electric piano player that ever has been. Ricky Hirsch. What can I say to make you realize he was the most awesome blues electric guitarist right up there with BB and Eric. WW had a pound driving rhythm section of Jack Hall and Lewis Ross who were so under-recorded on the early studio albums you just had to witness them live. Wet Willie could have been the next Rolling Stones band from the south, but we'd have to wait until The Black Crowes as the fickle music business never really gave them the support and push they were totally worthy of. The best recorded evidence of their awesomeness was the live album Drippin' Wet. I listen to that these 50-years later and only am wanting more. What a fantastic band so few really understood or hooked into.

I was fortunate to see/hear every lineup of Sea Level here in Macon,GA or ATL from their 1st performance live in Central City Park to their 1983 last show at the Atlanta Moon shadow. Everybody in those various lineups were amazing players. RIP Lamar Williams, Jimmy Nalls, Matt Greeley, Davis Causey, Paul Brodeur, Paul Tucker...i sure miss y'all & that great band!

I was fortunate enough to see Wet Willie who opened for the Charlie Daniels Band whom opened for the Marshall Tucker Band in late 74. It was over 4 1/2 hours of incredible music with musicians sitting in on each others sets

Jimmy Hall could do it all. You got to love his harmonica belt and the way he commands the stage. Plus he plays the saxophone. I loved Wet Willie back in their day. 50 years later and Jimmy Hall is still performing.

I saw Wet Willie a number of times. With the Allmans , the Dead and solo. Still one of my favorite southern R&B -Blues-Boogie Woogie acts of all time. I had the pleasure of meeting them at a club in Ocean City , MD. In the early 80's. Nice people as well as incredible players. Rock on !!!
