No way! I just randomly started to watch Wind Waker reviews because I was feeling a little nostalgic; only to be greeted with a new PB! Congrats man! Well-played and well-deserved. I wonder how many attempts it took you to get a run as good as this

Thanks, i’ve been running this on and off for a couple weeks. The run is by no means optimal, any% world record is 52 minutes and theoretically this route is no more than a minute slower. It is just a bit more chaotic and harder to play consistently, and i’m opting to do some slower strats. I plan to get close to sub 1 hour then decide if I want to actually go for it or not.

if you are playing on the gamecube version and using a first party gamecube controller, it is as simple as just holding up into the notch

you have be using a special version of dolphin called zelda edition and be using a jp iso. you can find a download of it in the discord,which is usually linked in the description.

I cannot do this for the life of me. I can't mash consistently enough (mostly keep mashing too fast) to get to the bend before I hit the tree. It just won't happen. It's really frustrating me because I've wanted to Speedrun this game for years and now I have the tools to learn. Do you have any advice? Edit: I got it a few minutes after this comment lol
