Any difficulties using the dock with Mac OS Sequoia 15? my dock hasn't recognized my monitors or computer since I updated to 15. I've got all the current display link drivers downloaded and installed.

What software do you use for editing?

The mostly unheard of lens is the APS-C E 10-18mm F4 OSS (15-27mm in 35mm) BUT can be used in FULL FRAME mode at 12-18mm (18mm if you remove the light shield in back). This lens is SOOOO!! small also has treads for filters up front. F4 is great and yes can go to a 25s capture. 12mm is so great for FEB to AUG MW Arch's for a AUG MW will be over your head and a little more. The Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 and 2.8 both are big and heavy. Yes a 12mm F/2.8 you will use at faster shutter speeds. A fast fact is if you use a higher MP camera you also get higher SS's! So the E 10-18mm F4 will use faster SS so you will get shorter captures while doing MW Arch's making for a 200 degree arch capture faster like less than 90s. Always use camera NR on so while in black out you move to next step with using a stepper on the base of your panorama rig, this way you can run and capture or even go to other areas during the night. Also have found LR will merge star filled skies!!! Lastly yes a F4 lens can get a 25s capture but also that 10s if wanted getting pin point stars.

Thanks very much. I was so confused. I plan to use it for regular browsing, Netflix and little bit of excel. However, I was planning to get back to photography and videos so sometime in the future will load photoshop and basic video editing stuff. Wasn’t sure if I had to go for M2 or 16GB RAM which is v expensive than this. There is a sale in India right now and M1 AIR has a good deal. I think I’m gonna go for that. Thanks once again.

Excellent perspective. If iPad Pro m4 had additional ports like sd card reader, another usb c, that would be a bit tempting. I am currently using iPad Pro 2018 which is still very useful after all these years. I am also hesitant in upgrading from my MacBook Pro m1. It is already so powerful. However, if I get a ridiculously good price on some newer tech, I will purchase 😊

You really made a great point about using f/1.4 for Astro. It sounds great, and it is for reducing noise in the sky. But an astro shot is not just the starry sky, you do need some foreground, and if that is out of focus, it doesn't work. You then either have to focus stack for the foreground or stop down.

Great points and content here. The A6700 is a baby A7RV, same AI chip and auto focusing system, I know because I own them both. I use the A6700 for the extra reach for sports, along with the A9. As far as professional uses, people were shooting professionally with Nikon D700s(which I owned) for years and it only has one card slot. Two card slots while extremely convenient, doesn’t make you a professional or always define professional use, your skill set defines what can and cannot be used for professional use, and again two card slots are a better bet overall, but you would be surprised by the amount of people that have two card slots that only bring one card or even set the two card slot redundancy up properly. Two card slots or a dual Cfexpress type a slot should, especially the Cfexpress slot should have been used. I have a few APSC lenses, but mostly use it with my full frame lenses. I think the Cfexpress type A probably wasn’t used due to heat. The A6700 is a great camera with great video specs. We also own a an A9, A7III A7RV,A7IV, two A7SIIIs Fx3, two Fx30s and three BlackMagic cameras. Each employee has a camera assigned to them, along with having a back up in case of failure and we backup on the fly with a little black box that covers photos and videos with an ssd in it.

I bought 2 new cameras last year, and one was the Sony a6700. I talked with a friend that works with Sony and knows me. He knows that I have been involved with the APSC Sony Alpha series compact cameras since the a6000 and have a nice collection of Zeiss lenses for Sony e-mount APSC cameras, and he told me that this new camera was coming out with a new sensor that was Back Side Illuminated and would have significantly lower noise than any of the other APSC cameras that Sony has become rather famous for. I have to tell you that everything my friend told me to expect about this camera is true and it manifests itself in my (almost) daily use of this terrific machines. On top of the sensor, it's just put together so well. The other camera that I bought last year was the Leica Q3 and the two of these great machines can cover any situation and generate a more than competent image for antything you throw at either of them.

For video work.. Almost all cinematographers uses F 2.8 and above. That's on a cinema camera(almost crop sensor size) so that's equal to f 4.5 etc. F1.8 or even f2.8 on a full frame is too shallow DOF and you can't see the scene.. I don't understand why people think small F value is more cinematic.. It is NOT. F 4 is a great aperture for filmmaking.. You really don't need the below.. Hollywood doesn't use :) Great video. The a6700 sucks for low light, especially for video. Even exposing at +1.7 slog 3, there is ALWAYS noise

Isn’t the difference between f1.4 and f2.8 one stop not two stop? A stop being a measurement of exposure, not 1 click on the wheel. ISO 1000 to ISO 2000 equal 1 stop. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What your opinion on Sigma 14mm f1.4?

Who vlogs anymore' - surely the main use for these cameras today are content creation for social media. That means vertical video. I find most KZbin reviews on these cameras are completely out of date with what's going on. I don't care myself, but I feel sorry for people getting misled when purchasing what can be very expensive equipment. I think KZbin content is the biggest culprit for this, the only time I see people walking and talking is camera reviews, who are describing a style of video that has long disappeared. If your a travel vlogger you'll just use a Pocket 3 or a action camera, your not going to use this camera.
