If you can I would, go to the store and try the docs on if you can, but for my instance I went a half size down I am size 10 and I chose to get the 9.5s, but it was a different story for the doc boots I went down from size 10 to a 9 for a more comfy fit.

Yeah it has its good and bad days, Leighton is usually on the smaller side, you just need to read the swell charts before going out, and even then its not guaranteed there's going to be good swell.

i use surf forecast to check the surf and if the conditions are above 1.5m and good wind i check the surf out
