This song just makes me happy. It is a happy little love song and I love those. Speaking of popcorn, movie theater butter is the best, but I also love cheese popcorn (regular or white cheddar) and cracker jack. I also get super nostalgic whenever I come across that Jiffy Pop that you make on the stove.

Always delivers!!!!! Exo has some of the best solo songs. I love that D.O. does D.O.. He might not be tour typical idol, but he stays true to who he is. Just love his Popcorn dance. Reminds me of Alfonso Rivera doing the Carlton. Love it!!! Mars as well!!!

If you know RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. He is continuously pushing boundaries. In a way thats what is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around confused and unhappy through all these potential lives and expectations never being comfortable. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable in each scenario but still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?

Yes, but just to clarify, "LALALI" is just a made up word used in the song's rhyming wordplay for 날라리 (nallali)... It's not the same (or a real) word. 😉 💗💎

Sharing the post I saw: Lalali in korean it’s 날라리 (nalali), which is kind of like a person who is rebellious. they don’t care about the rules, they act “cool”, don’t listen, and just known to have a “i don’t care” lifestyle. it’s hard to explain with words, and actually, the entire MV is very “날라리", the outfits and scenes too. Hiphop unit always slays! We’re not really over with Monster yet since we only saw 1 live performance and now they gave us Lalali which they also performed for 2 days in the most recent Follow Again concert in Seoul last April 27 and 28. MV is amazing and well made. The live performance is great too! Hats off to Hiphop unit!

First I love the song and MV. It was very thought provoking. My take away is …. The Namjoon we first encounter in the beginning seems to be despondent, not really interested in what is happening around him. He is indifferent. He seems out of place and that is why, he is running away or avoiding…you see that throughout the many different scenarios in his life. We are then introduced to a young woman that seems to be looking for something or someone. What I found interesting is that she and Namjoon are wearing that same color/pattern clothing. I believe this young woman represents a missing part or another part of Namjoon’s psyche…hence title “come back to me”. It wasn’t until he stopped running away and confronted the young woman (himself)… sort of reconnected with himself, that he is able to be happy, more involved, connecting with those around him. Here again in the last scene, both the young woman and Namjoon are in the same color. Now that he fully who he wants to be, he is able to OPEN THE DOOR.

The theory I found on twitter by an ARMY . I think it makes sense. "Come Back to Me might be about Namjoon's life and how he sees ARMY and here is why. The female lead in the MV doesn't necessarily represent a romantic partner, but rather a comrade in facing life adversities. In the begining, we see Namjoon feels so out of place and he goes through spaces without knowing why he's there. That bar where he sits with strangers smoking and being intimate, that space with the mother and child, that bedroom with the young girl, that baby crib; they're all narratives and perspectives forced upon him. About celebrities wild life, allegations of him being a father, assumptions of him having problematic love life, even people seeing him as and calling him a cute baby. He goes through all those narratives feeling so lost and confused. The see-through glass walls represents publicity as it feels like he could be watched over, just as he sees other "scenes" of other people over on the side. But then he sees someone else doing the same. Someone going through the spaces just as confused as him. trying to find a way out but feeling lost (the woman in a dark dress). When the camera seemingly shows him looking at himself only to show that he's looking at her, it means he sees himself in her. They find comrade and strength in each other's presence, talking and laughing it out together. After that, it seems like living life is EASIER. Even if the narratives and perspectives are forced on him, he just keeps living anyway because that's how life is. Until eventually that person who looks at him through the glass and vice versa from his perspective, now says "Come, it's time to get out of here". Then together they actually manage to open the door and walk out of those framed showcases. He is no longer trapped in those narratives, but he knows how to navigate them. This person, think about it, is how he's described ARMY over the years in letters and lives. How he finds strength in knowing we're fighting as well. Words of encouragement we keep sending him like "I have this problem too" and " I overcome it like this" or "thank you for giving me strength". He always treats ARMY as we're friends going through this shit life together while holding on to each other for sanity's sake. The end scene is basically showing how there are many more narratives and perspectives that are going to be forced on us through our lives and many people are going through it. But hey, we have each other and we will get through it all together. Ofcourse, this is just one interpretation and that person can be someone else other than ARMY." Army twitter account that came out with this interpretation: @KORE7heWhale

If you've read the book 'The Midnight Library' by Matt Haig, [which Namjoon was seen reading in In The Soop Season 2], Namjoon's character mirrors the protagonist. He explores different phases of life filled with regrets as the librarian guides him between doors. The final scene resembles the bookshelf in the Midnight Library, where each book depicts the regrets of the protagonist Nora Seed. The protagonist finally realizes that her current life is the best version and lives it without regrets. This is mirrored in the end scene where Joon leaves with Minha (the librarian) and returns to his current life without any regrets. The DOOR Joon yearns for is LIFE! “Between life and death, there is a library. And within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices... Would you have done anything differently if you had the chance to undo your regrets?” - The Midnight Library, Matt Haig"

This is such a cool song! 💥💗💥 With such a deep meaning and at the same time with such a pleasant atmosphere, a light vibe, one might say, of a weekend. Many may not have expected from RM just such a song, in this direction.. But for some reason I thought that there would be just such a performance in the genre of indie pop or jazz.. I really love it when rappers, especially RM and Suga, sing vocal slow songs. This sounds so good! 💗 The video is very beautiful and interesting! This is art with a capital letter! This is aerobatics! Plus, RM's acting is incredible (as is the entire cast). He conveys the atmosphere of the song, the emotions so well.. He is a genius! It’s so wonderful to reveal the topic of standards, opinions and a person’s internal struggle with these standards imposed by society.. acceptance of oneself, one’s desires.. and freedom from them (these imposed standards), which makes it possible to live one’s life with joy and happiness.. In harmony with oneself. I could do this, in such a way style, only an amazing leader and a wonderful person - our Kim Namjoon. 💜 Thank you for your reaction to this wonderful song!💗
