Hi nice video. Why did you say that you don't want to put 20MOA rings / mount on a 30 MOA base to give you 50MOA?. That would give you more adjustment in the scope wouldn't it?

I'm sure you're a great shot but it would be hilarious if the camera panned and the target was at like 50 yards.

It’s funny, because I think of these places that are the best in their industry like Bartlein. I think laboratory settings, climate controlled with bleeding edge technology. Just to find it’s just a run of the mill shop. Leads me to believe there is room at the top for someone willing to be on the edge where technology meets manufacturing. I work for a machine tool manufacturer. I go to shops that look like this then shops that look like labs all the time. The labs are always at the edge.

with the round one try putting your hand thru it and it can be very very solid and also has the ability to squeeze it a little. sometimes if necessary I can place it forward or on an angle very fast without moving the rifle. if to hard take out a little fill.

So shooting 7prc, you have G1 BC of .689, you have around a 7mph gun? Then at 689 yards you would hold .5 moa for every mph of wind? (Assuming it’s full value wind, 3 O’clock left to right) Trying to figure this out. Thanks for the video.
@SHLowlight3 ай бұрын
Yes, 7PRC, 7MPH, In MOA it's a bit different, the Mils number would be between .6 or .7 of wind depending how you rounded it. .6 Mils x3.43 would be 2 MOA of wind converting it, Mils and MOA numbers don't work the same, get rid of MOA and use Mils way easier math for wind, the MOA wind numbers suck, look up the British Method to do it easier in MOA but Mils the Gun Number is way easier, 7 MPH gun is .7 Wind Hold at 700 yards, .6 at 600, .5 at 500

Hey guys make sure you fine tune your suppressed gas gun, otherwise the bolt won't have enough strength to chamber a round. Also we didn't put a forward assist on it, so you're pretty much screwed if it's not right. Also we're selling this as a duty gun where fast follow up shots are required to save lives. Good luck.

@SHLowlight5 ай бұрын
1st number in your bullet's G 1 BC is your gun number, why we used G1 for 80 years it has information G7 doesn't inside. first number of the bullet's BC is the gun number

I shot with competition shooters on one occasion. There were 2 incl me with 260 rem and may be 3 with 6.5cm - the best one imo was the 300PRC but that's too much powder, barrel life and recoil.

I too have a green one. TRG22. From early 2000’s. Completely built around the 168gr BTHP. Even the Burris XTR scope. With Black Hills or a quality ammo it will make one ragged hole all day. 26” barrel with Gemtech titanium Sandstorm can threaded by them for the metric thread. Great setup.

Is there a quick and dirty rule for optimal bipod height?
@SHLowlight6 ай бұрын
there is, think children, they can lay on the floor all day with their head in hands watching an iPad or TV, so lay down, rest on your elbows, that is your optimal height, head up, not rolled over

I have a target chassis-style 1000-yard rifle chambered in 260 AI. The previous owner claimed good luck with that rifle at 1000 Yds. I now have leukemia and haven't been shooting in 4 years. He sent me reloading dies, and about 20 of his reloads, but I haven't tried it out yet. I looked in with a borescope, and the bore and throat looked good. I must figure out if I want to take the chance with his reloads. Many say others reloads are risky, although the guy seemed to know what he was doing. He sent a note with the bullet and charge weights of the reloads.
@akhan36826 ай бұрын
If he shot from the same batch, the probability of a hi charge is negligible. Also, it's not possible to double load this or most rifle calibers due to powder volume, that's mostly a problem from the past but still vary valid for handgun ammo.
@ChetJang6 ай бұрын
@@akhan3682 My instincts are that the loads are fine. I was mainly concerned that the loads were using a different powder than thought. It is difficult to double charge a rifle, true, but it is easy to use a faster-burning powder that gives high pressures.

Great video, I read your book (some chapters over and over) and I find the videos very helpful in better understanding the minute but very significant details of fundamentals, yet I still have a question on the subject of pulling the rifle to the shoulder: I find that, in doing so, I stiffen my left shoulder, compared to the fully relaxed stance that should be achieved. Any advice about a way to counter this, or is there something I'm doing wrong?
