Really nice version that blends bits from my favourite players while still being unique

My mom said one time not long ago, when we were talking about how the fiddle and the violin are the same instrument actually, just depends how they're played, "You can fiddle on a Stradivarius." Yes. I know. ☺️ From this movie, actually. ☺️ There is so much we can learn from Disney. 😉

I've got that exact line memorized since I was a kid. 👧 Still love it. ❤️ Three of the best things, no? 😁

I have really always loved the part where King Brian says, "It's a Stradivarius," and then Darby says, "I'd rather have me own." True Irish fiddler for you. ❤️💙❤️💙❤️

Great Uilleann piping! I love finding this old material that feels so fresh. Thanks for uploading this! It reminds me my happy days listening to irish folk in the Cobblestone Bar in Smithfiel, Dublin. Regards from Costa Rica :)

Thanks for putting this up, I think its the only version up there on the pipes. If you're the same bloke, I think I remember you playing this in Comhaltas in Monkstown about 25 years ago, is where I first heard it. I think you used to wear a sort of cocrocodile Dundee hat (no corks)? Thanks anyway!

I love (hate) the Hollywood version of Irish dancing where everybody just jumps crazily around, completely different to the intricate steps of genuine Irish dancing. Still, an enjoyable movie, even with all the paddywhackery

In the DVD I have, not only does Darby count in Gaelic, but King Brian also orders Padraig Og to "fetch the Stradivarius" in Gaelic. I miss that in this version!

Saw the loads of times in the Meeting Place Dublin in the late 70s/early 80s. They used to play on Saturday nights mostly. Always had a few guests along too. Good venue, great music, Mick Fitz, I can still remember them playing the Cherub tune and the Cup of Tay. I met Fiach O'Broin a few times. Died tragically in a car accident. RIP.
