you can see dankton appear in dumb bell behind larry in the helicopter (“gonna die hard like im bruce will” line). Sandy, a member of the krusy krab krew is also spotted in the club in the same song. We can infer that instead of pure neutrality, larry is playing both sides

It makes sense Sandy and Suidward to have their singles before and after establishing the Krusty Krew. Larry was just a side quest during the beef of two big artists.
