My uncle just gave me a guitar that is very similar to this one.. I'm struggling to find any information on it at all.. I've contacted a few guitar shops.. They are all digging deeper into it for me.. The tail piece on mine is different than the tail piece on yours, and my tunners are different.. I found a 1940 Sonora online that has the same tailpiece and tunners as mine.. So I'm guessing that mine is probably an early 40s pre-war guitar.. The serial number is engraved in the top of the headstock, D 303.. We can't seem to find any records to date the serial number with though.. Any suggestions on where I might look for information?

Hi John, thanks for sharing your insights on how you progressed from playing chords then shifting to how you tackled bringing in the melody. Big takeawy for me was not only how you just perservere with trying and learning what works and what doesn't to produce results but also listening to other musicans on dofferent instruments to give you different ideas on how to approach getting movement that makes more sense.
