More of this! I have been struggling a lot finding good inspiration. Most of KZbin is just "vlogging" with very little focus on family home videos

How do you charge your Fujifilm x100f ? I saw that you need to charge it from the camera so the internal battery charge and that way you will not lose you’re settings

Fellow dad here with 3 young boys! My wife and I have always documented our life and have spent way too much $ on camera gear for it just being a hobby 😂. But documenting the every day life stuff is so worth it. The mundane tasks of work and family is really important and too often forgotten or not valued or not worth being remembered? Even now we're already looking back and so glad we have so many high quality memories (from practice and having quality gear to record it in high fidelity) to reminisce. We do lots of film on vintage cameras, digital video and photos from the iPhone to the full frame Canon gear. Editing and storing we're 7-8 years behind 😂. But hard drives are cheap now. The other thing is being able to pass on photos (recently got a high quality home photo printer) to friends and family of the photos we get of them is such a blessing too. I really enjoy your channel and watch most of them. I'm in sales (my real job ;)) so want to encourage you to keep going and use your creativity more on getting real life clients to grow your business and do these awesome videos in your spare time. Like you kinda said in this video that God makes the phone ring but we need to put in the effort. God bless man!

9:53 can you explain the change, I’m looking into getting that mic set. Like did you go from the internal mic audio to then the receiver audio?
@filming_fatherhood8 күн бұрын
Yeah so I went from the dji mic to my boom mic. I also had the gain too loud on my transmitter which is why it sounds so crappy though out the video.

Thanks for creating an honest video about something so relatable as a fellow dad! I have been enjoying your content a lot, and always look forward to the next video. It keeps me motivated to document important family moments. As they say here in Norway at least; The days are long, but the year flies. So true with young kids. A tip that worked for me when I feel in «the rut», is to only shoot jpegs and explore fujifilm recipes for a while. Makes it a lot easier to pick up the camera for capturing moments, knowing there is no editing afterwards.

Thanks for that encouragement, it means a lot!

It is always nice to see one of your new videos to appear. Really love the unique combination of filming those family moments. Always motivates me to get starting with filming, editing, or just to dive into all that footage lying around... and create something nice to watch years later. Keep it up!!

Feel ya on the rut thing, happens to me as well. Purely based on the quality of your videos, I assumed you were already monetized. Keep grinding, you'll be out of the rut and compensated before you know it.

Beautiful video bro. Hit me. I was always the guy who was “too cool” to take photos or videos and try live in the moment. I think I’m regretting not documenting my life because I’ve lost so much memories. Do you think a go pro or DJI action 4 is suitable for documentation (as well as capturing some of my travel adventures)

great video man. I got the Pocket 3 largely because of your review and I absolutely love it. I do not know how to make 1 video out of multiple 5 minute clips. Can you upload a video showing us how to do this please?
@filming_fatherhood10 күн бұрын
Thank you! Thats awesome I'm glad you love it and are using it! Basically all you have to do is place each of those clips one after the other in your timeline and then export your timeline. So you'll need to do this in some sort of editing platform. Have you watched either of my editing workflow videos? They might help! kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYWteJiOa9ynbposi=nB5YgL2ds24RYgZa kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIeakGqYeJ52r9Usi=_TPbiGQH_As98IdU

Do you have any suggestions on cameras that are cheap I want to start video taking and taking pictures of my family so I can have something to look at in the future
@filming_fatherhood10 күн бұрын
For video I’d recommend the DJI Pocket 3, yes it’s more expensive than some other cheaper options but I think it’s the best bang for your buck and perfect for family home videos. The Osmo 5 or 4 are good cheaper options but you do lose some features that I think are worth it on the P3.

We have some super 8 video of my dad and brothers from the late 60s that was so cool to find a few years ago. Took that incentive to get a camera (an old Sanyo in the early 00's) and start documenting life. I've had ups and downs doing it but I continue to try to capture life with my family and 4 kids now. such an important thing that's so easy for us to do now with all the access we have to cameras. Great stuff man.

O totally agree with you. I also do the same and I also created an KZbin channel just for my family. With this KZbin channel I keep recording more, editing and uploading these videos and not get lost these videos on memory sticks or cloud driver and I can easily watch the video in our living room or share with my family. I advise everyone to do the same, your kids, your grandsons and everyone will came after will thank you about this in the future. Today we have all the tools to keep our family memories for the eternity, just do it.

Hey great video! What about action 5 vs pocket 3!? Im not a content creator, just a typical dad and not very creative... I want to build this memories for my kid now so i just want something with ease of use so it pushes me to finally use it. We are a Work-home-work one or two vacations a year family. The only thing that is holding my decision is that a thougher camera sounds like a smarter idea for using it around kids... Idk!!! Please help, getting both is not an option.
@filming_fatherhood10 күн бұрын
Hey! Yeah I get this is a hard choice. If it was me picking I'd choose the P3. I feel like the gimbal gives a huge advantage for family home video types of projects and I don't find myself needing the toughness of an action camera all that often. I equate the P3 to the old school cameras our dads had for home videos, I find it super user friendly and great quality. The only downside is I don't trust my kids with it, but my dad didn't let me play with his camera at that age either so... Hope that helps! Also I don't have the Osmo 5. Specs are a little better but overall its a very similar camera to the Osmo 4

As a fellow photographer dad, I really like this content! Keep it up! One point I would like to add is to not always strive for perfection when taking photos, and don't take it too seriously. Using your phone to just take a snap shot or short video will hold the same level of sentimental value as images/videos produced from an expensive "professional" camera.

Cameras like the Nikon R8 and Nikon R10 can safely handle 200T and 500T. The Canon 1014XL-S and Canon 814XL-S are also in this category as like the Nikons they’re “pro-sumer” Super 8 cameras.

Great video dude! We got the Rayban's for work and they are great for the "hide ability" and if you're filming for 9x16 but the GO3s seems to be better if you need to film for 16x9. Do you feel like you need the pod part of the GO3s?
