the hotter the room the quicker it'll be, i read that getting the temperature up from 113f to 119f will bring the time of treatment down from 15 hours to 30 minutes lol some say a temperature of 130 to 140 degrees is necessary tho so i'd totally try that if possible

depends, if the temperature in the room is 120f degrees then only 30 is enough, if it's 110f then it'll take about 18 hours, i read it on a website called wavepest.

I got the elite 4 and it's terrific. Thing with bed bugs is unless you can heat your whole house at once, you'll thin the herd but you won't totally remove all of them. Its really a way to manage them. Hotels and resorts around the world are demolishing their buildings. I do it monthly. It's also great way to clean the house. At 120 you're going to kill molds, mildew and fungus. Good luck folks.

I'm using the elite 4 for powder post beetles. The house has bed bugs to and they've been cooked several times. The other things have destroyed my home. It will be torn down , It's an inheritance gift lol. At least the property is nice Just killing what we can until, demolition begins. Please check your house and furniture for these damn things . All the antiques are gone. They're almost microscopic so by the time they're discovered its too late. The theory in this case is the wood used to build the house came with them. Wood for building is now heat treated but in 1965 it wasn't. Many of the wood destroyers can live 40+ years. 140 degrees kills every thing and also melts. Room prep is necessary. Worth the investment. Good luck!

just bring the barbeque in the dam room and set it on fire and enjoy the steak after
@michaelplitt2135
@michaelplitt2135 6 жыл бұрын
That would put out a lot of dangerous carbon monoxide. Once carbon monoxide binds to red blood cells, you suffocate. You can't just fix this with fresh air. You need a hyperbaric chamber. I know you probable were not being serious, but I saw a news report where people took the barbecue inside and this killed them. This doesn't seem obvious and I just thought people should know.

How is it done to schedule and how much time does it kill bed bugs at what temperature?
@residentzombie
@residentzombie 7 жыл бұрын
Other exterminators give the temperature of 130 to 140 degrees and 3 to 4 hours at full temperature to allow the heat to penetrate through walls and insulation. Make sure you are moving furniture and fans occasionally as well. Look into DDT as well. Much cheaper and easier to use.
