I wish the PRIME 4 had the FXs layout of the SC. That in my opinion would have made the PRIME 4 absolutely PERFECT!! Maybe the next model fingers crossed!!

Question: What amp/receiver would you connect the XONE 96 with so you can listen in house/home studio? It appears this will not connect with just any amp/receiver, want to run a couple floor speakers or possibly book shelf speakers from a receiver that will connect to the XONE 96. Would appreciate your input on this.

Mirrored layout just not very popular for most Value isnt good enough for people to move to algoriddim and or use serato with a non rane 4 or ddj-1000/flx10 Too long to get on the market Happens

Nice review! Thanks for covering this unit… I’m a Serato guy, but seriously considering moving over to Algoriddm djay pro… I think it’s been seriously slept on over the years and is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Also, glad you made the comparison using an older model iPad Pro, which is what I also use. Still not sure if I’ll commit to this unit, but it seems like a good value for the money. ✌🏽❤️🎧

Yo, big ups to fatty Lumpkin for the scratch demo! This dude can cut for real. Unsure if I'm missing something but I don't see tons of thorough scratch demonstrations like this on KZbin much anymore, again big ups and thanks to Dave and fatty for kickin this type of content out to us 👍 👍. Also, To anyone concerned about the dull Crossfader cut in, I posted my opinion on it at the time as a reply to another comment but I figured I would put this here. As of the latest performer firmware update the Fader curve is now 100% sharp, perfect for Scratching. We're talking magvel Pioneer Crossfader sharp. Seriously, invest in this board, you won't regret it. I'm glad I held onto mine just in case Rane would address the Fator curve and they did. Just remember to make sure you update the firmware to the latest version if it isn't already on the latest version when you receive it.

it works stand alone? just a usb stick with music on it or you have to have a software interface connected?

It does not work standalone - we are implying that this + an iPad is “standalone-ish”

Does this work well with Serato? A lot of people been complaining about it not connecting, freezing, and jog wheels not working. Can you show how to properly setup this controller.
@PassionateDJ7 күн бұрын
⚠A couple quick corrections! - At 14:10 I forgot to show replacing the Serato pad mode with stems. Here's how: kzbin.infoqxww07f5_30?si=DChyyXddlVUxrBKQ - Algoriddim Djay also lets you use 4 stems instead of 3, which can be enabled by clicking the "N" and selecting 4 stem faders

I think a 2nd version of this controller will be fantastic. I hope Reloop watches and takes your comments into account. It should be more focused on DJay Pro.

Yea they need to have DJs use this 1st before putting it out.

16:10 Actually you can get 4 stems on the pads for Algoriddum djay. 1. Click a deck number (1,2,3 or4) 2. Then press the “N” 3. The click on the Neural mix down arrow to choose 2,3 or 4 stem faders 🎚️

or you can keep a back handy just in case. What do you do when your built in power supply fails on a controller? They cn fail too, and you can't just switch your cable.

Good review, but one topic is missing in my opinion, which is sound quality. Reloop has proven in the past that they can indeed produce good quality audio interfaces, but also can royally f*** it up. So if there's a part 2 to this or something, an opinion on sound quality in general, the quality of the mic inputs and that of the phono inputs would be interesting.

Not bad but I think the Denon DJ Go beats it

Unless you plan to work easily with 4 channels or at all with stems. Love the DJ Prime Go, but afaik, the Prime Go didn't even get the beta with the (frankly not great) stems that the Prime 4 had. The Prime Go is great as a good sounding, easy to use and quite capable standalone, but entirely different to this, if only for being focused on Engine DJ and the Mixon 8 towards Djay Pro. A bit apples and oranges, IMO, but I guess that depends on your priorities.

From a Pioneer DJ's perspective... Been on Pioneer hardware since the very beginning in 1994 and to date have never had a problem resulting in the music dropping out, because of the hardware. Me on the other hand... Got the Prime 4 as it was released and to me it was a brick, not a working piece of DJ gear. Doesn't matter how many features there is when they are not fully functional and some of the basic features are either missing or work poorly. Away it went. Forward 4 years and BOOM!!! Numark releases the Mixstream Pro, and I had my eyes on it for some time but was turned off by some very limitations to the effects, and my earlier experience with Engine didn't make i better. Then I got an offer I couldn't resist, so I got one, and boy, has the latest versions of the Engine firmware made a difference??!!! It does have fewer effects than the Omni Duo and the Denon's, but now fully controllable and with extra features via the X-Y-mode, it's quite enough for the use I have for the unit, which is lounge and bar jobs and similar, when I'm expected to bring my own gear for free. That type of gigs has become more and more common, and bringing a full Pioneer modular setup doesn't really work for me. Taking the Numark for a spin on the other hand, 3.8 kg's in a soft case, cheaper than the 3 cases to my pioneer setup, is a pure joy. Yes there's some double work to get the music in to both Rekordbox and Engine for export, but as I have all my music sorted in explorer and don't use pre programmed cue points/loops, it's only a few minutes of work for me, and the rest of the time my computer handles the analyze. Exporting via Rekordbox takes time as I need everything on my SSD's, For my Numark, as it is a device for dedicated gigs, only the dedicated music need to be on my USB's. If I get a late request for a job, I can just drag some of the new stuff over to the USB as the Numark will analyze the music on the fly loading the tracks. Takes about 10 sec's for a full song, so it's not a mayor delay. I've also prepared one of my Rekordbox SSD's containing 26 000 tracks on the unit, and it took about 45 minutes to get it ready, but then I got access to everything. Note that when doing this, the music is not analyzed, only your playlists. The final analyze happens when you load a track, so it's not comparable with exported music from Engine, but still very useful the way I use it, as a backup plan for when the unexpected is required. Conclusion: From a Pioneer gear heads perspective, this Numark Mixstream Pro is a perfect cheap workhorse for those gigs you need something very cheap and portable, but still very capable to play on. Features are similar to the Omni Duo, lacks some but also adds more. Build quality are on the same level as the Pioneer entry level controllers, FLX4/FLX6, so not pro in any way, but good enough to last years with some gentle handling of the buttons and faders. Mine have had a few free falls to the floor, and have escaped without a dent or scratch to the plastic.

Xone:92 has been on the version 2 for a while now. Also sold as "Limited Edition". That has improved preamps for phono inputs and also ch-fader curve selector with 3 different options. Also filter-pop has been eliminated. This Xone:92 presented here is the mk1 (but a facelift version of course).
