I'm going to put this in a watch later playlist. I have had most of the Far Cry series in my Steam Library for ages, but never actually played any after 2. For reasons I can't figure out at the moment I can't get 3 to work so I started playing 4 for the first time last week, I am about 6 hours in with quite a few of them just running around the first section of map and only just cleared my first outpost about an hour of gametime ago. First impressions are very positive, the game does look good still even today. It's not the highest polygon count or lighting effects out the wazzoo, but it still has me stopping on a hill and just appreciating the view from time to time.

It just has a wrong name the game is actually a great open world rpg game in ancient Greece. Also if you buy fate of Atlantis expansion it has a mythical storyline.

A canon mode? I mean it's cool they are giving players a choice between whether or not they want convos to be stalled while you pick a response, but it does sound like it belittles the choice because they have already chosen canon. also I am glad they still have the option to have assassinations insta-kill or not. For me personally, I hated that change in AC and its one of the things that killed my want to play Origins. I can see how it can make stealth more interesting, but when the hidden blade was a 1 shot from stealth for over 10 games if you count mobile releases (not phone but PS Vita, DS) taking it out just felt one and like them trying to push the rpg aspects I couldn't stand.

I never got into the second game. The first one had so much character and charm. The characters were a lot more likable in my opinion. Even ignoring the obvious mature parts HP1 was just better

Far cry 4 with the first far cry game I ever bought. I bought it right after it came out on the 360 and it took like 4 hours to download but it was worth the wait.

I just.. don’t see why they didn’t have Peter invent the spider arms after losing the symbiote, I just think it would of made more sense. Instead of Peter winning against the stronger version of himself because he just got a better stronger alien, he would be winning because of his own strength and his own ingenuity.. giving him anti-venom just seems like a cop out and hurts the stakes, Peter just beats venom because Miles and Lee just had a chat and realised they can invent the Venom-be-gone suit. Imagine if in return if the Jedi Luke just kicked Vader’s ass in the fight and turned him good or if in Spider-Man 3 Peter just easily defeated Venom all be himself, there’s nothing really exciting about a hero who is just straight up stronger than the villain. (Ps: 5 bucks says the chameleon setup is so they can steal the exact goblin mystery form spectacular Spider-Man, I kinda hope I’m wrong but I don’t see why else he’d be there.)

I gave up as soon as I felt the HORRIBLE Driving and shooting mechanics. I still havent completed the story. Luckily I bought it for £5. How can the driving be THAT bad. There is 0 modularity in the steering. Its either left or right.

I liked the more Grounded Uncharted games, I wish more like were 4. I just never thought the fantastical elements fit into the stories and I thought the games would have been much better without them

Thank you for saying that about the 1st game, it’s boring frankly, and there’s no reason it couldn’t have been less repetitive, there are moments that shine in the game but overall it’s just very much the same, level after level up until the last couple chapters and very few chapters that feel different like the U boat, the car chase shooting, the jet ski, the bunker/underground and then the last chapter on the boat.

They could rewrite Horatio as the 'Dad' of the group(backstory of talking care of his sibling). With the role of corpo insider and taking care of the nerds like rescue puppy. The nerds antic with him is that his interaction outward was stale but behind his back the nerds always praise his cooking skill (except Marcus always says it in front of his face) . And inevitably when he is dead, it is easier to rally all deadsec to avenge him.

played this game after 200 hours of cyberpunk 2077 on release and while I only spent maybe a quarter of that much time on WDL I ended up enjoying it more. you could blame it on expectations, I guess, maybe I'll revisit cp2077 some other time. somehow the atmosphere of near future london had more cyberpunk vibes than night city, and exploring the city on a cargo drone fulfilled almost all that I wanted from a cyberpunk game. perhaps it was my playstyle, because I hardly ever got into combat and treated the set pieces like puzzles, that I didn't encounter most of the gameplay issues you described besides the ubisoft branded jank, or maybe the bar set by cp2077 was just that low. everything else you said was pretty accurate, plot was weak, characters weak (although it's much better if you use the dlc characters), lacked an identity and the gimmick just didn't work. I could almost praise it for being marginally thematically stronger than cp2077, specifically the cyberpunk themes of transhumanism and posthumanism, but not really because they both handled it poorly as is typical of mainstream media. btw uploading skye is the correct choice, nowt can go suck it

played it 2 times, always to the end, was fun. good game. would recomend

If Ubisoft was smart they would just make a accessibility & world parameters options for combat where you can pick the new style as default but have options like legacy ezio ,AC3-ACR, & unity/syndicate where it would use the counter kill system or defense break/near death finishers with Arkham parry’s etc

Secret wars was my fav for a time but each to their own.

I don't think "playing as anyone" is the problem. When this game was annouced that was the biggest selling point to me and even when i played the game and relized how shallow it is, i still spent all my time, and had some fun, going around and collecting diffrent characters to build the ultimate team. The problem for me, was that none of the characters felt unique enough. The were all basically just reskins of the main player model. And once you get used to the 3 or 4 different walking styles/voices the small differences between characters feel basically non existent.
