Always enjoy your videos Mr. Taylor. This one is pretty special. I believe this was when I attended P.I.T. in '88-'89, and this particular evening Mr. Gadd stopped by school for an impromptu clinic. It was a packed auditorium downstairs. I played that kit on Fridays (fusion day) and sometimes on Tuesday (big band day)! Thanks for the memories! Keep it up!

Mr. Taylor, I ALWAYS enjoy watching and listening to what you do. I must say, your composition with simon Phillips is, as of now, my favorite, BUT, this one is extra special because I attended P.I.T. in 1988-89 and he came and did this impromptu clinic at school, which I believe was a Friday night. I remember playing that red Yamaha kit on fusion Fridays. What a time, great memories. Great video! Thanks, always enjoy what you're doing!

Love how Dave is digging Steve's solo. Too many band leaders or headliners seem to merely tolerate drum solos even in jazz. They don't seem to listen....just waiting for when they have to step back in. Much respect for Dave.

For newcomers: Richard Tee - Piano, Songwriter/Composer, Vocals Steve Gad - Drums Tom Scott - Saxophone Will Lee - Bass John Tropea - Guitar Ralph McDonald - Percussion I discovered this through George Collier's music channel, where he transcribes noteworthy musical scenes. It was Tee's pump-tastic solo on Strokin'. I would've simply had no idea this even existed otherwise. That compelled me to search for the complete song. Which led me to this amazing concert. Thanks for uploading!
