If the arrow company tells you that acetone will weaken the shaft which they do in fact say right in the instructions when building your arrow. Easton tells you to not use it at all.

Does the length of the shaft/bolt make any difference when testing where the cock vane goes. It seems like the 28 inch arrows will flex more than the bolts. Bet you can tell I'm a rookie. By the way, good video Nate.

Yes but mass increases penetration more than a smaller shaft. And a larger diameter shaft can weigh more. So there’s that to consider. I tested it.

If this is product presentation it would really help to make a close up of the insert while you were putting the glue on. That is the point of this video, and we do not get to see anything.Music on the other hand is really not necessary.

No spin tuning with fixed blade broadhead?? How do you know 100% that your insert is straight unless you spin tune? Also, you don't show how much time you have before the glue sets..... back to the broadhead, we need a little time to spin tune.

I'm planning to buy some of these, but my issue is I'll be shooting them from a 30-pound recurve. How much weight would I need up front to make a 650-spine arrow shoot properly from a 30-pound recurve? Assuming I use the longest length rather than cutting them down to my 29-inch draw length.

How about including the instructions in the arrow box?? I spent 130.00 on your arrows. I went to a 40 year old pro shop on long Island and the owners and two customers with high end compound bows had no clue. It's also not labeled on the arrows what type of bow they are for. I own a recurve and these are for compound bows. I'm new to Archery and spent a lot of unexpected money. Eventually, I'll get a compound bow and learn the craft but you guys need to get your act together. Right now, you have a discouraged new archer.

Shouldn’t matter what type of bow you use it on as long as you have the correct spine for your set up
@evi2083
@evi2083 6 күн бұрын
It doesn't matter. If he had the instructions for spine strength in the box the chart would include recurve and compound bow ratings. There is no difference in arrow at all just spine strength. You would be shooting a weaker spine strength that is all. I wouldn't listen to anything this guy is saying about building arrows. You don't use acetone on arrows. All you need to do is use a wire brush scratching the inside up for binding the glue to shaft then clean the inside with a pipe cleaner. They sell kits at archery shops for this. When fletching arrows you just lightly wipe down the area you are fletching with rubbing alcohol to insure the surface is clean before gluing in your fletching.

You should probably pull the nock out before gluing your insert in. When you install the insert into the shaft with a nock installed on the back, air is being compressed in the shaft. As the insert dries the air can push the insert forward, youd never know it becuase you have an outer sleeve hiding the gap.

Had fletching issues on all 3 six packs i purchased. Apparently bad glue on the fletching lost at least one from every pack . Had my local archery shop remove all the fletching and replace and reglue them on every single arrow . Not super satisfied seeing how this was my first day shooting my new compond bow that was professionally set up and ended my training session only 30 mins in after spending $175 for brand new arrows . Since the reglue, I'm happy to report not a single issue with the fletching or the arrow itself. Great balanced flight ,easy to remove from the target.
