Absolutely no shame losing 3-1 to a team flying high in the National League who could soon be professional again. You’ve done the club and town proud and brought in some good prize money and media recognition

Fact is that they didn't actually create anything until 65 minutes apart from a ball breaking here and there and a Bedford mistake. Bedford fullback was injured for most of the second half and ended up having to hobble along as a centre-forward. Bedford's best player was Walsh, who injured himself in the first half and had to go off in the second, so Bedford ended up as a pretty makeshift unit. Yes, Biggleswade did create some good chances in the last 15 but Bedford could easily have been out of sight by then.

Watching the game today and usually our attacking play bails us out but today we weren’t quite on it in that department. Not much between the 2 sides and really their 2 goals were the only time they worried us and they were down to 2 individual errors which need to be cut out

Well that was definitely 2 points dropped. There’s only one reason we didn’t win that game and that complacency. I don’t like to highlight bad performances but our goalkeeper has had an absolute shocker. Must do better. Be stronger. Command your area!

Unfortunately whatever momentum we had a few months ago completely disappeared the last few games of the season and we couldn’t get it back in the playoffs. Although it’s difficult now let’s not forget what a great season this has been with 2nd in the league and the cup final. Let’s take that achievement and this disappointment to grow as players, managers, staff, fans and team to go better next year so things like tonight doesn’t happen too often

Getting 2nd is a tremendous achievement but there is still more to potentially come. Hopefully the playoffs give us something to play for again as form and momentum has dipped slightly towards the end of the season

Was the venue fixed long before the finalists emerged from the competition? To what extent, if any, die Luton have any degree of 'home ground advantage?

Maybe I'm biased as a Hatter but I don't really think home advantage is very relevant here, it's quite clear Biggleswade welcomed the opportunity to play at Kenilworth Road and brought a good support there. It's still a tremendous achievement for Biggleswade who should be very proud and it's good for local football generally. I think this is a very fair interview response. I've always thought home advantage is overstated, if you look at the main professional leagues, over a season roughly 55% of the total points come from home and 45% from away, and even this is primarily down to the bigger differences between home and away for the top third teams in a professional division.if you look at the bottom third teams at the end of the season there is no correlation of home advantage There is a myth that the three point win system has encouraged attacking away from home but this approximate 55:45 ratio was the same under the old two point system.

@Brian Evans It's a totally legitimate question that you posed. In any case, main league clubs like Luton, Stevenage, Cambridge, Northampton, Watford and Oxford benefit from the health of district teams anyway, either through transfers or from local matches against them for their own development. I must say, some of the grounds in so-called non league are very impressive, I saw Lancing FC's ground (Isthmian League) when I was on the South Coast and it's beautifully maintained.

I think you should have a problem with players having an eye on Tuesday’s cup final as you should never look past an opponent or you get what’s happened here and that’s a loss
