I would love to see team throw in strategies. There are so many elements. How do you throw a long throw in v a short throw in? How to best receive throw ins in different circumstances? Where should offensive players stand in a throw in? Where should defenders stand?

Question. You demonstrated 1v1 situations and the assumption the thrower is going to throw to you. With several offensive players in the area, how does each player communicate effectively with the thrower at the same time? Is the assumption the thrower is looking to just a designated receiver every time? That is, the team has a sort of specialist who will receive throw-ins, and all other teammates are simply decoys?

@@charleswalker6109 great question and down to team/coach preference, all with context. This video was just made for the players looking for ways in which to grab the throwers attention. Thanks for your comment!

Great question Java! A couple of options if they haven't got support...they could be really positive and dribble towards goal and create a scoring opportunity for themselves, or they could delay the ball out wide while waiting for support, and cross the ball when they have teammates in a good position. Did this help?

@beesterasoccertraining Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Regarding the level for an 11 year old, it’s tough to determine exactly. If the can keep their body and ball the same speed in order to change direction, that’d be great. Check out www.beesteraacademy.com/challenge-page/1 and you can see some likely errors that may occur within the session 👍

Really like this. Guess more geared towards very advanced players but presumably for younger players you can dial the speed down and just focus on the movement to receive and direction of first touch?

Hi John, thanks for you comment. Yes, the overall exercise can be used for younger ages, and as you said, the focus can be on the movement, weight and direction of the first touch! Glad you liked it
