Hi . sometimes when we import the models from the cad to etabs model , the major axis (3) would be parallel to the depth of column . my question is that will effect the column design ?

Hi! If the column depth aligns with the major axis (3-axis) after importing to ETABS, it can affect the column’s load resistance and design accuracy. Be sure to check and adjust the orientation to match your intended design before running the analysis.
