man you got this working so great. almost perfact; wile compared to mine. i cant seem to get her steady and minmalise the shakes... i wounder. is it possible for you to "save your project" and then send me that "autodesk project" file... for me to use containing the proper cailberations?..lol idk.. figured its worth a shot asking. or perhaps... you couldnt just make a video filming sll of the mia charecters definition, scrolling threw the options, showing what you have set...

@goomee3d Check out brekel.com and go to the Tutorials and How To's section. There's a link to a video tutorial (Louis Marcoux) - Goes through each stage of the setup and capture process.

@goomee3d Kinect plugs straight into the PC. Software downloaded from Brekel.com

@piroman665 Cleaned up a bit (but only using automatic features in Motionbuilder - 5 mins work)
@WorldSpaceStudios13 жыл бұрын
@ExaroOnline Yep. Had to use a couple of filters in Motionbuilder. Smooth and Butterworth. This really helps get rid of the shakes.
@ExaroOnline13 жыл бұрын
Yours looks really smooth, the others i've seen seem to shake alot, did you find this was the case too inside motion builder?

did u clean animation or its rough data ??

@votekick Definitely

Very good

The workflow for a full scene would still be faster using the Kinect. You need to clean up mocap data anyway, so it's still viable option for the everyday modeller.

@shugames oh, thank you, I checked the web page, and they are using NITE. That is the only software available in the market to control the Kinect camera other than MS's software in the Xbox360. I was curious to see if it was something different. Thank you!
@WorldSpaceStudios13 жыл бұрын
@OrganicMotion I think I am. Not too sure about all the stuff going on in the background. I just downloaded all the software needed from Brekel.com and hoped for the best :)

@ChimeraProd Yep. It will work with Maya. You'll just have to merge in a Maya skeleton rig (making sure bones are named correctly) instead of a Max Biped rig. Not tried it but can't see why it wouldn't work.
@WorldSpaceStudios13 жыл бұрын
@ChimeraProd Not sure. Seen a webcam system by ipisoft.com. Results look better than the Kinect but setup and space requirements are more of an issue. Kinect is probably the quickest way. Not sure about the cheapest though.
@ChimeraProd13 жыл бұрын
Hey man I really want to know, Does this work with Maya too? I mean, I have motion builder and I know how to characterize skeletons etc... So can I still follow your tutorial for motion builder and do this with maya or are there some things I'm missing? btw this looks so smooth with no jitter pretty sweet!
@ChimeraProd13 жыл бұрын
Wow this is great. Do you think this is the best cheap motion capture solution at the moment? Or if you spend a bit more can you get like 5 webcams and still get Realtime mocap? I mean, Is there something NOT as expensive as optitrack ?
@OrganicMotion13 жыл бұрын
Hi, are you using NITE?
@WorldSpaceStudios13 жыл бұрын
@Jocken75 Yes. Seem to be getting better results with MB though (although can see the BVH option being a much quicker solution).
@roidroid13 жыл бұрын
@shugames ah. oh good
@WorldSpaceStudios13 жыл бұрын
@roidroid It's actually the foot constraints that make her do this. I can move the Kinect ref bone up in the world and this will straighten her legs. Didn't do this though as wanted to get a good foot contact with the ground plane first. Now I've plotted to the rig I can adjust the pelvis height using a layer.
@roidroid13 жыл бұрын
You seem to have it accidentally setup to try to match the character's height to your own. That's why she's crouching.
@Jocken7513 жыл бұрын
I also tried the updated Brekel program with BVH, have you tried it?
