thats what my dad did i haven't spoken to the man in nearly 2 decades. has never even met his only granddaughter. this is a great way to have your kids resent you. parents like this say things like "you may not pike me now but you'll respect me later" but the truth is they dont. they will hold a hatred for you that you cant imagine and be looking for the first opportunity to get away.

I’m with you on most of what you’re saying but forcing them to do a sports is something I will not do if they want to do s sport I will sign them up for it and help them practice that sport but if they find there not liking it as much as they thought they can switch sport

No one way is right …anybody, including this dude, that thinks there’s a magical formula and a child can be a machine if you apply enough force, could just as easily see the opposite side of that when the kid gets rebellious and daddy’s not there to force him into the better decision. I’ve seen militant kids OD before 21. I’ve seen star athletes who’ve live a routine for their childhood lose their life driving drunk one night. Just one night. Anybody, parent or not, with a modicum of common sense will say there’s a happy medium between the two which ultimately benefits at a much higher percentage.
