Heres an idea. 4 bolt, 4 boltweave, 4 skewer, 4 riftbolt, 4 lavaspike, 4 flame rift, 4 ragavan, 4 swiftspear, 4 slickshot, 4 magus of moon, 1 thunderous wrath, 1 lava dart. 18 lands 6 fetches 2 sunbaked canyon. Now its mono red using rag to have chance of turn 2 magus or regular turn 3 magus. While being aggressive and trying to win fast still. I like this approach. Yes magus is slow but the format is very mana greedy and you may lock people out on turn 3 with it.

Heres a modern omni deck i got. 4 chart a course, 4 tainted indulgence, 4 omniscience, 4 griselbrand, 2 atraxa, 4 malevolent rumble, 4 psychic frog, 3 grim tutor, 4 grapeshot, 2 impulse, 3 archdruid charm. 22 lands, 4 of which being shifting woodlands others mostly bug lands. Now im not sure on lands as this deck will be 4 color and not 3 color using grapeshot as the wincon and not tendrils. However you dont need red mana really as you can play grapeshot for no mana off omni. This is a very rough list based on my arena deck i like to play. Can win on turn 3-5 with good hands. Plan is fill Gy with omni and other stuff. Turn woodlands into omni play gris or atraxa for free, draw, play lots of spells then grapeshot for lethal. Might be too slow for modern as it can take a while to fill GY. However playing omni is very fun. Just an idea for a new deck. Now, the decks not perfect could be made better also.

I seen a new card that might be good in black red burn. Its called unstoppable slasher. just a thought. its a 3 cmc black card. thats makes them lose half their life on hit trigger. Idea being if you can hit them once with it, its like a huge burn spell in your burn deck. might be too slow but kind of a funny card. could be in a midrange deck also i was specifically thinking jund or mardu. For a good 3cmc slot card.

HAve you ever tried run just instants and sorcerys? 4 skullcracks e 4 attarkas commands for de gainlife problem plus 4 flamebreak maindeck. 4 searing blazes, 4 Skewer the Critics, 4 lightning bolts, 4 rift bolts, 4 boros charms, 4 lightning helix. No creatures.

Atarka's command?? 2 compensade the higher mana curve.

Still prefer UR prowess. Found it far more consistant.

I tried energy cards and unstable amulet in jeskai control and it was a decent and source of card draw. It also combos with expressive iteration for the 1 dmg ping effect which is nice as well. Unstable amulet is a pretty good card when you can get value off it, and in control when you get multiples you can ping them every turn for damage. Its actually decent in control too, as a card draw spell that doubles a finisher late game with more then 1 out.

Here at 11:55 is one of many examples of how the deck is giving us all the cards to win, and how often it's only our missplays that leads us to loose. 14 damage while also keeping 1 mana up for Veil could have been dealt. Lavadart on cat, lavadart flashback on face and mutagenic. If they have removal (and they always do) just play Veil in response for lethal. If they don't just Bolt the rest 3 in second main for lethal.

At 22:50 could we not have double darted the Griselbrand, attacked with both slick shots and forced the Griselbrand trade while putting them to 10? I guess maybe they could’ve drawn but I’ve seen some bad draws with Goryo’s before lol.

Been testing this deck a lot for upcoming RCQs also after winning a local tournament with it. I like were this deck is going, with overperforming +2 of Rages and +1 Assaults and slightly underperformimg Sacale Ups, since testing the first PT version of the deck. Some other things I noticed are that I don't like to over side in against Energy, I believe the deck piloted well is already favored against them. With Energy I've been having better results siding in only the Snakeskins. Since the combo approach of "killing them out of nowere" when they tap out or with protections (hexproof or just prowess triggers or mutagenic to get out of bolt or galvanic range) is a lot better. Their interactions are easier to dodge than Push etc. Going the grindy route with the 4 Druids, becoming a worst version of the old izzet prowess, against the best grindy deck in the meta, is just a loosing approach Imho. Not even counting the later Phlage flashback.. Other than that, this deck has been good for me and I think there is still room for tuning. I think the next change I'll try is to add a protection spell maiboard since I'm often in need of it, and I often doubt about having 8 slots of burn spells. Also considering we don't always have the urge to remove blockers since having 8 flyers + 4 rages.

Hey i just had a really good is idea for a new deck i never seen. You play only Titans for creatures. So Kroxa, Phlage, Uro and so on. Then you play torpor orb, strict proctor, doorkeeper thrul as additional stuff. Idea being you get to play titans and they dont sac, while getting value off attack triggers. And getting huge creatures into play early like turn 3. Have you seen or tried this yet? I am trying 4 kroxa 4 phlage right now in a mardu / grixis type list, with lots of removal stubburn denial and interaction. i have gone strict proctor turn 2 into phlage turn 3 and its pretty good.

Nice 4-1! I won a local tournament here in Italy with combo prowess beating meta decks from nadu, dimir frog etc. to also a boros energy piloted by a last modern PT player I've been having consistent better results (like 50+ matches) with: -4 lava dart -2 bolt -1 breach In favor of the full playset of scale up, strobe, rage, blossoming and mutagenic. Playing this deck a lot I almost always felt the burn spells to just be weaker than the combo and protection spells (possibly with trample if on monastery or mage). For now I'm testing the list with only 2 bolts, but will be considering switching to 2 unholy heat instead. Will be also testing blood moons in sideboard, very effective for jeskai control which I think is one of the most annoying matchups
