For sure! If you can get one used that would be the best deal. I would pay full price again but mine was under 1,000 new. I just saw they’re going for 1299 now, that’s a bit much for me.

It's one thing too play the blues , it's another too feel the blues when you're playing them, don't think , feel.

Hey bud, this is fantastic. So many "advanced beginners" get stuck learning riffs and leads, etc.....but they don't understand the WHY. The rhythm is the WHY, the lead is the HOW. And then people (guilty as charged here), plateau quickly....the rhythm gives you the platform to advance. I'm guilty I got stuck so many times until I started concentrating on my rhythm guitar....then I built little licks into my chords. And that's when everything kinda hit me. Now, along with my trusty little looper, I get better every day. I wish there were more people watching this. This is how ya start. Oh and side note, if anyone has $1000 bucks, THATS your best bet, a blues junior and a used Mexican strat or a CV.

Nice pentatonic lesson on this. You can also play D Mixolydian over this, which is just the D Major scale with a flat 7, which is the same as the G Major scale, which uses a lot of the same shapes as the e minor blues scale. Lol not sure if that made any sense, but if it does then try it out! Sounds great

Nice playing and good sounds! I would love one of these guitars but something about that chunky 50’s neck doesn’t sync with me. I wish they made a 60’s version
@alangilgilbert
@alangilgilbert Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! This neck is thinner than the original 50’s, so it’s much more playable for me. But I agree, the 60s neck feels better. Epiphone makes a great 60s Les Paul but it does not have the American made parts this outfit has. Still a great guitar though!

….And alter your camera angle so it’s looking slightly at the top of fingers. At the angle your using you finger coverup the string and sometimes the fret. Maybe use two cameras and a split screen. The one on your laptop and another angle with a second camera. And like billycluc56 says. Slow down and breathe. You have talent.

What is woman tone?
@alangilgilbert
@alangilgilbert 2 жыл бұрын
A tone used for the blues primarily, it’s a nice fat sustaining sound. Turn down your tone knob and turn up your volume and gain. You don’t want it muddy, you want it fat. Which the pick-ups in this guitar do well

I have the same guitar but in "White Blonde". Not sure if it's 50's or 60's Classic Vibe though. I paid £350 for mine here in the UK. I really enjoy playing it. The only downside is the neck gets very warm and sticky after playing it for abit. But other than that I'm really happy with my purchase. Thanks for the review bruvva

What's the difference between this and the 50s Epiphone Les Paul? Is the neck the same?
@alangilgilbert
@alangilgilbert 2 жыл бұрын
They have different necks, you would have to feel to decide what you like. This one comes with American pickups, switchcraft switch, CTS pots, Malloy capacitors, and 50s era wiring which leads to better volume, and tone control. This also comes with a hard case. All of this makes the 1959 a much better deal over all than the regular 50s epiphone.
