Each competition teaches you something new and helps you develop valuable life skills. It’s such a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself and create lifelong relationships 💕

@ 🥹so sweet!! I definitely feel pageantry tends to push me to work harder and invest time in myself I probably wouldn’t otherwise which is good. It’s truly such a grand experience I often turn to my introverted side lol, but I’m glad I could muster a little courage and talk to you along with a few other girls 🫶🏽 such a fun week overall for sure!

@ I’m very socially awkward, but NAM has really helped me step out of my shell. The parties were a bit overwhelming for me, and it felt awkward trying to talk to people since most already seemed to have their own groups. When you came over and started talking to me, it truly made the experience so much better. I can’t thank you enough for that! I love that pageantry pushes us out of our comfort zone and helps us grow into better versions of ourselves.

personally when i moved in and out of college i would pack my clothes around most of my other stuff in the totes and bags, they acted as padding to keep anything from being damaged and while i unpacked other things i unpacked my clothes at the same time and didn't find putting them back on hangers to be that bad, hope this helps

I decided to tie the bottom of the bags but then got wrinkles and couldn’t reuse them due to the holes, so I will definitely give your method a try! Btw what did you use for shoes?? I liked my bucket but also could use a more efficient method if you had one🤍

@shaynajanaa I didn't take many shoes, but I put them in a suit case and lined them on the bottom then placed other things like notebooks over before filling up the bag so nothing got dirty

Hey im competing in the up and coming National American Miss pageant in November which is being held in Orlando, FL, my main question is my hair because well possibly be getting wet im not sure what to do to keep my hair stable??

Hey! I had an adhesive (glue) wig on here so tying my hair down nightly and avoid water/ sweat was KEY! If I were you, I’d get my hair done RIGHT before I left since nationals is a week long. I did see a handful of girls compete w/ natural hair & do well (that just wasn’t for me lol) it’s just gonna take conscious upkeep but def worth it! Lmk if you have more questions & GOOD LUCK!!

Hey! It was my first time too but a few quick tips: •In interview avoid beating around the bush & get straight to the point. (you have less time than you think:) •Dress wise, I suggest a dress that flares at the bottom over a form fitted dress just for walking/ posing on stage (but choose one you’re confident in) •Make EYE contact with ALL judges! @@Minaurr632 For introduction, I suggest it be short but impactful. To create mine, I listed out adjectives I wanted to convey to the judges (I.e. well rounded, leader, etc) and formed my intro around that. I also noticed describing your hometown (food, sports, appearance) does well. As for nerves, PRACTICE makes permanent. Rehearse what you know & don’t try to change anything last minute! You’ve got this:)
