idk, i think he's genuinely a good person. He called finn out when they first met for being homophobic and for trying to get him to not sing with kurt cause he was gay, he completely understood blaine when he developed a crush on him and didnt judge whatsoever, was completely supportive of beiste when he decided to transition, and really genuinely loved mercedes and did everything he could to get her to stardom, not to mention he literally came back in s3 to help his friends. He's genuinely an amazing character, and that ryder thing was so off character for him

Rossi_D he also sold his guitar to feed his family and babysat his siblings every afternoon while their parents were looking for jobs, got a job as a stripper to help them as well He also really loved Brittany and adopted a cat for her

That Ryder thing was a little bit out of character, he’s usually emphasizing... but the truth is that high school guys are dumb and probably if this was in a real life situation someone would make the same comment, I know my classmates would’ve, which is sad, and probably due to lack of information and not knowing how to respond after someone tells you something like that, I thought Artie was worst than Sam since he started saying that, it’s weird but I never saw anyone giving Artie crap for the way he was, he had a bad actitud a lot of times and treated a lot of them badly
