WOW, i live near Leisure Hours (20 mins south of joliet) -- what areas do you bash/race at?? i've been trying to find areas but a LOT are closing/carpet and i prefer out-door off-road!

The Typhon Grom BLX runs much better with the Granite Grom Tires. I have 2 Brushed Grom Typhons, 2 BLX Typhons, 2 Brushed Mojave Groms, 2 BLX Mojave Groms, & 2 Losi (Arrma Nascars) I added a Quicrun Brushless Mini 16, and Dumbo Gyro Remote to a Brushed Mojave, and Brushed Nascar, I like those Setups better the the BLX Groms, I did however add the Upgraded Diffs (that come with the BLX) into the Now Brushless Mohave & Nascar. I like the quicrun set due to the fact its a 2 in programmable motor/esc, with the option of having an Adjustable remote drag brake with the Dumbo. Fun Times!! Enjoy.

Imo, by the time we upgrade the shocks, arms, servo, tires, bearings, gears, drive shaft, exc... the "Ultimate" is a total waste of money.

analog has a very short range if you remove the cabel from the reciver or don´t let the antenna stick out of the car or bad reciver analog is dead in this erea of rc cars

I bought the same slash in the same color about at the same date as you. Also came with the same “problems”. All you need is adjust the low speed idle after the brake in and you are good to have fun. I’m super happy with my slash. I fucking love it.

I don't know why they chose this setup. Its just creating garbage because, one, you gonna take it out right away, or you gonna take it out when it fails. Straight to the garbage 😮
