great explanation and content, but some positive feedback. The speaker confuses the listener by so many caveats and buts, it took 2.5 mins just to say what you are going to say. would hellp to be more direct and clear at first , and explain after.

Hello. I just stumbled upon your channel. I find that a lot of Jews shy away from studying the Guide for the Perplexed or philosophical issues in general, so I think it's interesting that you're covering this.

It may have been such an extraordinary and unprecedented occurrence for someone to become the ruler of such extensive territories that it is comparable to stating that a particular individual is the inventor of electricity. In such a scenario, it would be inappropriate to specify their nationality, as their accomplishment transcends national boundaries.

Rambam says prophecy depends on reason? Doesn't prophecy transcend the limited reasoning of the human intellect? Also, regarding the nullification of deficiencies of character etc., this definitely isn't through one's intellect. Because his intellect is impaired as long as he hasn't eliminated all bad. So on the contrary, one has to understand he knows nothing and dump his filthy intellect...
@SabaYisroel11 ай бұрын
This philosophy attempts to explain why the Jewish people require "a land". But does it explain why this land can't be in Africa? The verse from Jeremiah you quoted states that God acts with kindness... in The Land. So that explains it: God's Divine Providence and loving-kindness is in Israel. Fortunate is the believer.
@shnayor11 ай бұрын
It does not. I am explaining one point in the Torah. Why this land is Eretz Canaan is another matter that requires explanation, which also can be understood through the gift of reason given to us by Hashem, and I explain it in my recent book www.ebay.com/itm/374477700772, pgs. 156 and on. One should believe, for sure - and also seek to understand. Everything can be explained, imo, and one cannot know otherwise without first trying to explain everything.

What's wrong with believing that God controls everything, and nonetheless to believe in Bechirah - that the person has the power to choose. If it's a seemingly paradox, so what? Nevertheless we believe so (Rabbi Nachman says [Likutei Moharan 21) that it's impossible to answer these conundrums with philosophies or חכמות.) But how can you write off God when it comes to our personal battles? We pray and ask God for Fear of Heaven etc etc in שמנה עשרה, in אהבה רבה, and all over the place... Its impossible without God's help. On the contrary, with God's help we can win even all the battles which you already gave up on and said that it's impossible. But by God, everything is possible...
@shnayor11 ай бұрын
If you believe in 2 things that are paradoxical, you actually believe in neither. Heaven forbid that I write off God! I think about very little else.
@SabaYisroel11 ай бұрын
@@shnayor I wrote "a seemingly paradox" because we believe that they are both true even though we don't understand how. In truth, there is no contradiction. Some things are simply beyond the human intellect's limited capacity... These are השגות אלקות... Good Shabbos (I'm in Israel and it's almost Shabbos)

I perceive your point bro. Though I believe that the Almighty is in control, & because He is in control, we should do what we can, and not let fear paralyze us.

After all these "חכמות", how does some panicked person rid himself from his fears and panic? Perhaps there is something transcending your stuff which can actually help people. What is comforting about your assertion that the battle is only in a limited area? On the contrary, this despair from winning the so-called impossible battles is depressing.
@shnayor11 ай бұрын
I'm sorry that these "חכמות" are depressing for you. For some people, the understanding of what is expected from us and what is not is quite encouraging, as they are happy when they are doing what is right, or what their "תפקיד" is. If there is something "transcending my stuff which can actually help people" then that is part of what we can and should do, and I, along with all my nation, seeks to know it and do it!
