As a teacher I respectfully disagree with the advice about spelling words you were given. Layla doesn’t have the correct letter sounds even. You do need to correct her and have her break it down sound by sound. It’s Tuh- eh- ks- aaaa- ssss not tuh- eh- sssss- ih-sssss- eh- ssssss. Do i really need to phonetically write out how to do the letter sounds to restaurant?? It’s kindergarten or preschool learning ( or lack there of). I’m really surprised as a parent with adult and almost adult children you do not see the harm in those teachers advice…
