You do have a problem with fuel and might be best to get it checked out. My bus sits for 2-3 months before I start it up again and I have no issue with cranking it. We have the same engine. .

Looking at those last pictures shows a happy family. Any bus material you have after conversion, let Alvis know so he can consider if he could use it, especially windows. Those seats you saved are too good to get rid of. I wished that maybe I should have saved one or two. Not sure yet what all will occupy space in the conversion. I'm planning on carrying inside the camper 90 gallons of fresh water, that will allow me to be off grid for a month or so. Me being single will help me to do that. I ordered LED retrofit light bulbs to use inside the camper and all of the outside marker lights. I will have individual toggle light switches for the inside coach lights. My window deletes are two windows which the panels will be plywood double thickness fits inside the frame glued to each other, inside the aluminum window frames. Lots to do. On your bus consider bike rack on front bumper and cover them with waterproof covers. As for an generator, consider those inverter types, they really are quite running. If you would consider one, they run around $800, let me know what you come up for one and I will pay half the price. I assume you are using window AC units ? To God be the glory for all the good things he gives his people. Any advice you would like on the bus, feel free to call on me. May God bless your service for his work to draw people to Je'sus Christ.

We actually have an inverter generator. Maybe we can show it again on another video. Thank you so much for your heart ❤️ Yes we are using window units one which we permanently installed.

Thanks for all of the good remarks of Lake Louisa State Park. Just think, I would only need to drive about 40 miles to this park. Hopefully one day our two bus conversuons will cross roads somewhere in God's beautiful earth. We are blessed to live here in the land of the free.

Well folks, I had once thought I would have liked to have purchased a large long dog nosed bus. The problem though with them is not having good turning radius as opposed to the flat nose. However if you had the largest longest bus as a dog nose, you would have had a much roomier living area. In my case I don't have any problems inside the bus because it is just me in it. I too think about the ECM and a brand new one costs over $1000. Well, I will just make the best with what I have as a slow bus. What you can do to get a faster moving bus would be to get a different trasmission. Also have the governor changed. Maybe you can sell your bus and get what you really need now after seeing what you have now.
@ParsonRoadАй бұрын
Unless the Lord says to, we don’t see ourselves buying and building another bus lol 😅 This one was ALOT of work and expense. We have another video coming about what we are happy with as far as the build goes so stay tuned!

When you were considering electrical installation I missed it. However I will tell you I will be installing my electric wiring in the existing panel where the coach lights and public address speakers are. I will install receptable's also in the panel. I will be using the panel lights but removing the incadesant bulbs and replacing them with retrofit LEDS. My electrical power will be coming in on the front of the bus where my generator is. I will have a long power cord for shore hookup. On the back bumper of my bus will be a mechanism for using a vertical axis wind turbine generator to keep my lead acid batteries topped off when I am in areas of the country where wind is often briskly blowing, especially out West. I won't be using solar, too much upkeep, my opinion of course.
@ParsonRoad2 ай бұрын
That sounds like a great plan. We do regret not putting power on the back of the bus where the generator is. That is a smart move. We will have to do some back tracking when we get ready to get our batteries up and running.

Johnny and Jewels, I may have commented previously on water disposal. Here recently I looked under my bus to see how my two 30 gallon holding tanks were goi g to fit under the floor. I found that they would fit perfectly. I like the idea of the two tanks being installed in a tandem fashion. This way the grey water tank can be used to flush out the black water tank and it can be drained independently from the black water tank. I can't think of a better way to dispose used water when needed at a waste water station. When you are in a park that has a waste hook up, you can drain your tanks and any water used can be sent right through your holding tanks. My guess is that one day I think you guys will get tired of a compost toilet. To me it is primative.
@ParsonRoadАй бұрын
You have a great plan! We have been fine with the compost so far. It hasn’t been a hassle and we can go about a week or week and a half, maybe two on one bag.

I'm keeping my floor as is. It appears to be real solid. It will last me for the time remaining in my life. The windows must have been left open and let rain in often causing your floor to be in bad shape. Under my bus the undercoating looks real good so I think the floor is sound for tĥ most part.
@ParsonRoad2 ай бұрын
Ours looked real good and solid until we started uncovering it. We had people tell us we should not even worry about the floor and cover over it, but we are glad we decided to uncover it.

I saved only one seat which was by the side exit door. I use it outside. I recycled the metal seats but I saved the vinyl seat covers. I will use a number of them for privacy covers over the windows using magnets to hold them in place.
