Woah custom enemies are possible? Does that mean the PSP Content can be restored? And if it's possible for the other games, FF 2's extra mode as well?

Well i dont know much but so far theyve imported things mostly from other pixel remasters so maybe not right now, but its probably possible, just time consuming.

you know, ive been looking into the magicite export files, and for some reason, no matter which part of the ability i change, darkness always does the same amount of damage. i want to make darkness stronger, and i think i tracked the ability that it calls, which is 165 (i think) but i dunno, i just feel really stupid right now. i was also going to make an acsessory, that when equipped, changes a command to darkness, and i know i would have to port some stuff from ff6 pr, but i havent gotten that far yet, i just want to change darkness at the moment, and somehow, it just has not worked.

actually, i havent tried every data number, just the ones i assumed would could change the damage.

FF4 is the game that made me obsessed with turn-based RPGs as a kid. I'm looking forward to seeing what this mod has up it's sleeve.

I hope it can give you lots of fun surprises! I love this game too. It's special to me and has been since I too was a kid. I want to give fans like me a fun time with this mod, offering a new level of difficulty and challenges that push what it possible in FFIV gameplay. I've spent almost 2 years on it now and I'm excited to release it soon through Nexusmods.

oh that reminds me, i am experimenting with spells, and i am attempting to port over shadowflare, comet, and flamethrower to ffiv, and so far i am assuming it has gone great, i think the asset file in aa folder has what the spells are calling for their animations. maybe that is why people had trouble porting the spells from one game to another? again, still working, but ill have to see.

I've made spells using animations included in the game, such as Gigaflare. I just repurpose spell animations, like the Crystal's animation when you use the item to initiate the Zeromus final form. I didn't, however, have any luck importing new spell animations from other FF Pixel Remaster games. I'm not sure anyone has yet. But it might be possible. There's also a weird limitation when it comes to adding new battle backgrounds. Magicite has some limits, I think. We're still testing them, though. I've tried bringing things over in the aa folder and it wasn't quite enough. I've got an idea for extracting each of the files in bundles and bringing them over in Magicite, but I haven't been able to test yet. That might be another version 2 goal.

i hope i dont accidentally encounter a cactuar in the desert as my first fight. (though that may not even be possible if you put the encounter at 0% making it siren only, but i dont really know if that works that way.) but it would be funny if it happens. but yeah, this early game looking to be pretty tough.

This could actually happen around the Kaipo area. There are Cactuars and Gigantuars there. The encounter rate is in the "rare" encounter slot, and it's pretty darned unlikely to run into them. However, it is possible to run from these encounters, and running is pretty easy in FFIV, so you'll likely be good even if it happens.

triple attack combos pre mist cave is rough. i like it! you've done some good work here, and i hope to see playable dark cecil at the end of the game, or some such. in any case, it looks like you've got custom spells working, so thats cool. thank goodness for the unity player replacement file, am i right?

I know! The Unity Player replacement made all this possible, as did Silvris's Magicite! Thank you so much for the sub! I'm working to make this big mod memorable! I've actually got enough finished that it should be ready to release by the end of the year, but I wanted to show off a little to let people know it was in development. I've made new abilities, commands, added in hundreds of items, weapons, armor, and even key items, written dialogue for these cameo fights, written my own version of the script, brought over music, brought over sprites (thank goodness for Record Keeper), and even added weapon and armor sprites. Just about the only thing I haven't been able to do is add new maps. Maybe version 2 will have that! Party swapping will also have to be explored in version 2. I've got an idea for doing it, but I want to finish version one before testing.

@@shermietubevt I can't wait for blue mage ff4 gaming. (it probably wont be learned on contact, and just by level up, but still) it would be cool to learn stuff like maser and needle, and eventually ice breath and dark breath. maybe thunder, and if we are lucky, whatever they renamed scorch to in the pixel remaster.

Though its a mod in their OWN game After Years the Girl uses the SAME Black Hole move as the final boss so IF she still can on a FF4 Mod Shell/Protect/Reflecting Bahamut's Mega Flare still won't WORK BUT Do use FLOAT since in HER own game 1 of the 2 still uses Quake and it would still be lethal if she CAN still use it HERE.

Good idea! I'll add the black hole move to her ai script. That should make the battle a bit more lethal and authentic to TAY encounter.
