I love seeing the different ways people do things and achieve similar results. I don’t score the tomatoes beforehand. I will have to try it and see if I notice a difference. I also put my tomatoes in a cold water bath after cooking to speed up the cooling process. Love that we both have methods that work. Thanks for sharing a different method with us. Love your videos!

Thanks for this. Those undivided bulbs are called rounds. You can plant the rounds in the fall and should get large divided bulbs next season! Rounds can be caused by mild winters or planting small cloves. A good axiom to follow with garlic is plant the best and eat the rest!
@eversonroadoursimplelife79587 күн бұрын
Thanks so much for commenting! I've never heard of them called rounds. We are for sure going to try that this year!! Appreciate you watching.

Iowa Zone 5a. Second year growing garlic, so not the expert, but our harvest of 400 plants was pretty good. Some runts, but few singletons. I guess that's what you guys are complaining about. My guess is that your winter wasn't cold enough for the garlic to form cloves. However, it looked like you had a pretty good harvest. Have you noticed any fewer pests on the plants that were surrounded by garlic?
@eversonroadoursimplelife795823 күн бұрын
Yeah, that's what we are thinking too!! Very mild winter. We did notice less pests.
@groussac22 күн бұрын
@@eversonroadoursimplelife7958 Thanks for the reply. Our garlic grew on the perimeter this year, and there seemed to be fewer pests, but it's hard to nail down cause and effect. Good luck with next year's crop.

I had my gall bladder removed as an emergency and the journey since has been a struggle but God gives me the strength everyday to keep going. Have you ever made basil iced tea? It’s delicious and feels so refreshing and invigorating. 🥰. Love and blessings Nay❤

Hi Naomi, I'm new here and wondering... are you concerned about the constitution of the food you put in your freezer changing? I used to be super careful and actually stopped using the freezer all together and then once covid came around I packed it full fearful of a doomsday. Lol. But, just wondering....
@eversonroadoursimplelife795826 күн бұрын
That's a great question and concern! I'm not too concerned, only because I have two teenagers who eat things faster than I can get them in the freezer! Haha. I'm never thinking doomsday, but like the idea of having food made so I'm not spending unnecessary money at the store! I don't let food in my freezer longer than six months! Great question and WELCOME! Thanks for being here! 🥰

I planted music and elephant garlic in Oct. The problem this year is our winter wasn't cold enough to cause the bulbs to clove. Only a handful separated. Its still good to eat, let it cure for a few weeks then peel , slice just like an onion and dehydrate. Powder it. The ones that did clove can be cured and kept for longer.
