Correction...a good all round white cricket player,non whites were NEVER given an opportunity the same as whites .even though we got democracy in 1994 ,non whites still had to struggle to even have practice nets or even a proper cricket ground to play .Every cricket facilities was reserved only for white,and whites by law were not permitted to play non whites. Yes he was a good cricket player, because he had advantages under the apartheid laws.

Asanka gurusinha was part of Sri Lanka world cup winning team. I guess others didn't grab those opportunities, so many good players came also like Russell Arnold, Kumar dharmsena, marvan atapattu, mahela. In Asia, you get a lot of good players coming through, the only you gonna take is by performing consistently

You know India were heavily reliant on Sachin in that World Cup, if you closely observe when Tendulkar did well, India did win, he lacked support from other end. Manjrekar, azharuddin were poor throughout the World Cup

He was not villain. He was hero indeed. Great and smart tactics to regain the ashes. If he played cricket within laws of game. So there was no harm to spirit of cricket. It just crybabies aussies who were making fuss out of it. Because Jardine and England got under there skin. Also won ashes on face of aussies. Cudos to Jardine 🫡. He got unfair wrap unfortunately.
