Great review. I appreciate that you went in depth of each episode and gave your reasons for why you liked them( or didn't like them, in the case of Stink Bomb). Although Magnetic Rose is generally considered the best of the 3, I found Cannon Fodder to be far superior in both it's concept and it's unusual visual style. I think it's pretty hard to pull of an Orwellian dystopia these days without it coming across as cliche and redundant. I think the one-cut method perfectly immerses the viewer in the nightmare cannon world as the camera follows the slaves through their typical day of loading cannons. It's more of an analytical piece with lots of satirical messages in there. Although it's more meditative than the other two, it's still full of detailed animation and entertainment. Stink Bomb had exceptional hand drawn animation, but I felt the plot was weak and didn't warrant a full fledged animation short. I found the theme for Magnetic Rose a bit boring and derivative of 80's sci-fi films, although It had awesome animation and music. I can see why people like that one the most. But overall I like Cannon Fodder the most. I've watched that one over and over, and I still find something new with each viewing. So many subtle (and not so subtle) details in there. Just thought I'd share my opinions!

dude im sorry if im gonna come off as a jerk here and i dont know if u have but read frank millers daredevil. Bendis is not the greatest dd writer ok. His run was made up of events that he told you about, never showed you just told you about. Example: Daredevils clean up of hells kitchen as the kingpin. #50 up totally revolved around that plot and you never actually saw it.

This is my favorite comic, unfortunately dark horse hasn't put out second prints except for issue 1, so getting some of the lower issues can get a little expensive on ebay. I managed to get the full run for almost cover, but one and two may have cost about ten each and the rest my LCS did have copies so its worth checking your shop too. I love this comic and its really worth getting the issues not the trade. There is some cool stuff you miss.

Just finished my ride today. It was amazing

Again, the art books are what is worth getting. Can't believe some people paid upwards of $300 to $600 just to get the complete set. Out of the complete set, I'd say the flip book is the only thing I'd like to have. Should be getting mine from Amazon any day. I got the whole thing for $60.00 with tax and all. It was going to $56.00 on Amazon.com, but it is now going for $59.00, which is still good.

Thanks for recommending this. I had to order the hardcover though, because I can't find the issues anywhere! I only saw your review now and I would never have considered buying Mind MGMT otherwise. The covers didn't appeal to me until you pointed out their details. A second hardcover collection is due in october. I can't wait.

Wow. Just recently got into comics. First series I started was The Walking Dead. I really enjoy that, so I figured I would look into other series that I would like. After doing some research under my interests 1 series kept coming up on all of my searches. PREACHER. Now im starting trade paperback Vol. 8 "All Hell's A-Coming". This series has blown my mind. All of the characters are great and the story is phenomenal.
