God did not number the Commandments. Lutherans consider the "graven Images" clause as part of the First. And we have two Commandments about coveting.

Pastor Wolfmueller, you’re one of a kind bro. I’ve probably watched every one of your videos. You give people hope and that’s what this world needs right, hope. You have a good sense of humor that’s people worries at ease as well. And, you tell it how it is. The word is the truth. Anything that contradicts the word is false. You’re awesome bro from an LCMS follower of Christ in St. Louis. Cheers bro!

Yahusha has died for all who believe in him. He is knocking at the door and waiting for you to open the door and invite him into your heart. That is what a relationship is based on. He doesn't open the door and force his way in like a thief. What this fella says is very flawed.

Baptismal regenerationists are inconsistent. They claim baptism is required for salvation, but they say it has exception(like thief on the cross and Cornelius). It means it is not required
@RaindropConstruction
@RaindropConstruction 21 күн бұрын
@TrueNation-fw2wo this is my understanding, as a bapticostal. It is required when you have the opportunity. If you choose not to do it, but had the chance or many chances to get baptized, the question remains why didn't you? Where you afraid to commit your life to Christ publicly? The thief on the cross had no choice and no opportunity for baptism. He did however publicly accept Christ in front of men which may have been his "baptism." All throughout the Bible people came publicly and accepted him and were baptized to be saved. Only one man is recorded to have been saved in his last hours. This means that while salvation without baptism is possible, it is HIGHLY unlikely and did not happen often (or maybe only once...)

For about as long as Christians have numbered the Ten Commandments, there have been two different ways. Latin fathers, most famously Augustine, used one system. This is the one followed by Martin Luther. The other method was used by the Greek fathers, and it is the one adopted by Calvin. Most Protestants follow Calvin, but the Bible doesn't say how we should number them. BTW, Jews use a third system.

Dr. Veith, your book 'The Spirituality of the Cross' played a major role in my move towards Lutheranism. I had been so mixed up and confused with Christianity, but after reading that book I started to seek out other Confessional Lutheran writers and reading the Lutheran Confessions. Thank you so much for writing that book, I can honestly say that it was the catalyst that let me to Christ and Him Crucified for the Forgiveness of my Sins.
