Buy a life straw water bottle. They’re great for trips like this where your water sources are lousy.

Yea I've seen those. I brought a water filter on this trip but didn't need to use it, there were enough clean water sources along the trail. I'll give the straw a try next time!

On Amtrak do they check to see how much your bike weighs. I have a Ebike & planing a trip in June by myself
@JamesBratsos
@JamesBratsos 7 ай бұрын
Nope, they didn't have a weight limit when we rode. There is an option when you buy your ticket to add a bike. It costs a little more but they'll load it in a storage car for you. Have fun!

I really enjoyed this video series. The GAP and C&O is one of my favorite rides. On another note, I took a shot everytime I heard you say "I wish I had my fishin' pole", and now I can't remember what I'm watching. ;-)

Hahaha I'm glad you enjoyed it! That's a great game. If I took a shot every time I wish I had my fishing pole I'd fall off the bike 😂 Thanks for watching!

Great vlog! Try Peak or Mountain House for your next freeze dried meals. Backpackers Pantry doesn't compare.

Just rode this myself in the last week of August, seems like you were around the same time frame based on the tornado damage in your video's. Always nice to see things from another perspective.
