Rachael, did you ever end up putting the mantle on there? We're about to do our fireplace just like yours. (Although we're using cinder block to build a hearth since there's not one there right now.) But we were trying to figure out how to add a mantle after you finish this part of it. Does the mantle need to "rest" on top of the part that comes out from the wall at the top? Let us know if you did end up putting the mantle on there. Thank you! Great job!

What type of plaster did you put over the mortar? Just basic plaster or is there some sort of fire resistant type.

we used Structo-Lite on the top layer and fire resistant brick underneath.

TY for these suggestions! It's so hard. For skinny jeans, I highly recommend Fran Denim. I have a 12 inch difference between waist and hips and thick thighs, and those are the best ones I've ever tried and they've been going strong/ lasting through heavy wear for 3 years without losing shape. This is the first video that I feel like anyone mentioned the longevity of the jeans, so thank you for including that!

I’m thinking of getting the Tna puffer and I see where you got a medium (we are similar size) I was wondering if it fits comfortably with thicker sweaters. Thanks so much as always

Yes still super comfortable with a large sweater. I wear my big wool sweater under it and can still move around. If I could chance anything I think I would've gotten the crop version. That's my only regret. The crop hits at the hips and I think is more flattering.

It is but I think it's just too large for me. But one plus that I didn't mention was that it does have the little buttons at the bottom so you don't have to take it all the way off to use the bathroom.

That's so crazy. It can be like that here too. Some people will resell them for a lot more or rework them to make them "trendy" and sell them for like $100-$150. It is way too expensive!! But you can find some good ones at the thrift stores for like $10-$20!!

They are the Levi's dad jean and I've only been able to find them at Free People in this color but I'm not positive they still carry them. It looks like they have them in a lighter wash at Aritzia www.aritzia.com/us/en/product/dad-jean/73312.html and Urban Outfitters in black. I bought a size 28.

I'm not positive, but I would guess that the size 28 would still be your US size. Some jeans are labeled in 28, 29, etc. others are in like 2, 4 6. I would say look for size 28 which is about a US 6. But you should also be able to find some US sizes in 28.
