Nice Flight and a beautiful Plane. 👍🏻 Wished I had room. City Park a mile away only to get frowned on or asked to leave & power lines , rooftops are all around my street where Helis do better .

Storage space doesn't look bad as the wings simply plug into this plane but she definitely needs a big area to spread her wings and fly. Not a Park Flyer by any means!
@icin4d4 күн бұрын
Are you using the sequencer module or just plugging the retracts straight into the receiver?
@tennriverluver35344 күн бұрын
The module but the module simply plugs into the receiver with these. Very Very good retracts and gear by the way that have survived some very bad landings where the wings themselves did not. Stupid mistakes on my part, not the plane which is one of the easiest warbirds to land that I've ever flown.

What an amazing road! We are going to try and head out there next year. This will be our second trip to Colorado. We're supposed to visit the southern half of the state, but I'd love to incorporate this into our trip somehow.
@tennriverluver353411 күн бұрын
I did most of the eastern 2/3s of the state while out there. Bucket list!. I just ran out of time and never got out west which I really still want to do. This road was by far my favorite of the entire trip! It has almost everything Colorado has to offer in it's 90??? miles or so. Can't remember. Just be warned there isn't much gas to be had between Ft Collins and Walden. I've had several friends thank me for this loop also. I was staying in Estes Pk and made the route down the backside of RMNP and then back through the park on Trail Ridge to get back to my cabin in Estes. Hope you enjoy your trip. I also got lucky I never ran into any hail or even rain to speak of. The week before I guy and his GF had been repeatedly hailed on every day on the same roads I had planned.
@tennriverluver353411 күн бұрын
This would actually be worth doing both directions.
@motorcycleden11 күн бұрын
@tennriverluver3534 last time out there, we stayed around RMNP. It was in June and Trail Ridge had been closed due to snow. They opened it the day before we rode it. Still snow and little ice up top. We rode in a lot of rain on that trip and also ran into some vehicle problems we had to address. We had originally planned to go yo New York, but they were getting rain the entire week. Colorado had the least amount of rain and we could do it in a week. So we headed there. Even though we rode through a few storms and some rain while there it was a great trip. Definitely looking forward to going back. I appreciate the video and info.

Nice flying! Just wondering: would you possibly have any photos of the interior of the Phoenix J-3 90.5 inch airplane? I am especially interested in where you mounted the flap and aileron servos(s). Thanks!
Nice vid. Can you please share with me how you did cg? How much weight did you add, and where? Thanks

What mods did you add to your A-10?
@daviddou14082 ай бұрын
Had to give up with that constant trim button. Try just a few notches, level flight to see how it sits, then another couple and repeat if necessary. Constant adjustment without checking for level flight will get you up, and down, hardly conducive to trimming for level.
@tennriverluver35342 ай бұрын
Dude I was having to give it more and more up as it was nose heavy. I know what the hell I’m doing there. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do is get it to fly level but it was diving on me because I had to rework my elevators because the supplied clevises and pushrods were garbage and were slipping 🤬🤬

Ah yes, the Decathlon. I know it well. It's better that you fly it from grass like this. Ground handling isn't exactly stellar. But she's a hoot in the air. Snaps and spins galore! Have you checked the stall?
@tennriverluver35342 ай бұрын
@@richard1472 oh yes and like my many Decathlons it can be nasty especially if at low altitude. This is my second one of these as the first was lost this spring when trying to take off in some nasty winds that lifted the plane off way to early and I wasn’t able to save the inevitable tip stall crash. Luckily I had this ARF as a backup and it’s actually a much prettier red than the first for some reason. The first plane I was actually taking off at our Spring fly in and was going to use the smoke system for the very first time to wow the crowd. They got entertained anyway since I’m the head of the entertainment committee at our club 😂😢😢😢

Stinger 26cc. Just finally looked to see what happened and I’d lost the screw along with the throttle arm. Lucked out the the throttle itself kinda stuck at about 1/3 throttle to keep on flying.

Complaints about tiny wheels on grass? All smallish model airplanes have small wheels and problems with grass, and ground looping on asphalt. Hard landings damage even quality retracts. Dynam sez that they are trying to improve on quality of retracts, servos, etc. Pay $100 more for a name brand foamy and maybe still have some problems. Retracts can be a PITA no matter the brand. Dynam models are not for inexperienced assemblers and beginning pilots, but are getting better.
