Hey, re-run your tailings, they probably still contain gold and when you get around to it, get yourself a crusher and/or ball mill as that'll release more gold that maybe trapped in the rocks and tailings.

Apparently you don't realize you're implying their sluice is catching less than half the gold.

Bob from stevensville, I dug tons of rock up 8 mile. Con gratis that's some nice looking gold for eight mile. We always find a little color up there. But to quote a friend " You have to Work your Hiney, to find the Shiney".

You have built a really nice set up there. That will do you good for years to come! That was a nice pan at the end. Here's to hoping you fill those mini jars full! But you do need to clean the sand out of your fine gold just a bit better before you fill your vials. You will have to do it now or do it later. Either way, you have to do it. Thanks, I enjoyed watching your video. The narrating was perfect. Not to much talking, just teaching.

I am sitting here watching videos, making sure I won't be forgetting anything when I make it home. Just wonder why you are pushing so much water through there? You need to at least add a piece of rubber over the top at the top of the sluice. Get that gold to the bottom before it hit those white water rapids in the box. Air bubbles are not your friend.

Hey Scott, nice find! I am up here in Hamilton area for a week, just up here visiting my old stomping ground. I live in Arizona now and just got back from Afghanistan. I have been wanting to go prospecting here in the valley for long time. I have also build a new highbanker and would love to try it out when I am here. I know know nobody likes to give up the area where they are finding gold, but if you would give some direction that would be awesome.

Was your sluice part of the highbanker a Keane or did you build that from scratch also? It kinda looks like my Keane A62. I couldn't quite tell from the riffles as they were pretty well covered. Thanks for the post.

thats a good haul for 12 buckets. Im in Carbon Co. Not much gold here. I noticed your corners on the top rock box for your high-banker, You may want to cut the corners so they are rounded ends, if someone slipped and fell on that it could be ugly.Im just a safety nut.

My 3 children from my second marriage, whom I raised through to their adulthood, found over 60 ounces of gold in 8 years on our camping trips to our fav locations on the American and Stanislaus rivers. We sold the gold for over 1115k not long ago. Not bad for 3 teens who learned how to pan and sluice on their camping trips since they were 5. Yo "flightofthechildless"... you will always be incomplete until you experience the joy of raising your own kids. Mine have been my greatest creations.

I run vortex all the way through my box...I would deffinatly consider it if you can get it. Get on gold prospectors space.com and look me up on there I have a buddy right across the border in Idaho that sells it much cheaper. He will also cut it to size....

But he used to guide the selway and said he had founf gold while he was out there....just a thought but Im sure this is gold there. ye sir that is regular keen carpet..thanks for the tip about the vortex matting. The area where we are prospecting finally froze all the way through, so we have some time to throw around some ideas and make some changes before spring, so all tips will be taken into consideration and we will see it they work for our highbanker. thank you reed. Did you add food coloring to get that pretty colored water? hehe, Nice build. I think that's regular Keene carpet & not miners moss from what I could see. It would be interesting to add vortex style mat in the head before the ribbed. It's called rough top incline conveyor belt & you can buy it pretty much at any rubber supply store or Grainger, McMaster Carr, etc.
