Spectacular car and livery. I actually had it in my hand in the shop, but my 8 y. o. kid preferred the Aston Martin instead. Oh well, next time. And btw, I totally agree with the comment about the light grey color not being the best choice.

What a beauty!!! - great buy 👏🏽

Unfortunately I made the expensive mistake of building a slot car track. I had an old SCALEXTRIC Bathurst set (1989?) and decided to expand into something worthwhile. after building a table (4 metres x 2 metres), I purchased a huge amount of SCALEXTRIC track(30+meters), lots of SCALEXTRIC cars (35)and ‘went to town’. My current layout is 20+ meters. I’ve found that the connectivity of R2 curves is not great. When forming the track to include two 270 degree curves, vibrations from the vehicles regularly pulls the sections apart requiring maintenance to keep the electricity flowing. Whilst the cars work first time out of the box they have become so boring and ‘same-ish’ that I have moved to other makers: 6 x Carreras, 4x Slot -it, 4x NSR, 2x Pioneer - which are THE fastest cars I’ve ever seen, and 2 x Pendle Slot Racing build it yourself kits - fantastic selection of normal old school cars. The current format of the track crossover with the two extended areas, and lack of an analogue track crossover severely limits the track layout potential. Cost wise I have found that had I done some research BEFORE buying all my slot car stuff, I would have gone the Carrera path. Here in Australia there is, on average, a $30 difference between SCALEXTRIC and Carrera cars. The track is wider so I would be able to drive Fab 1, that huge Batmobile without having to remove all the crash barriers first. Overall, my opinion would be that for cost, track layout options, and spare part availability I would go the Carrera path, using SCALEXTRIC for some cars now and then.
