No cambio las playas de Cuba, sobre todo Los Cayos. Del centro comercial La Estrella a cuánto queda esa playa??
@kwladarz16 сағат бұрын
Not sure where the shopping centre which you mentioned is, but from Pueblo la Estrella it would be approx. 7km. You need to go through Reserva Natural Cayo de Santa Maria (follow the road). We just drove there, park the car and walked in, but please remember that ticket is needed for the reserve.

Acabei de assistir a esse vídeo é me pareceu que a serra estava toda queimada.Teve algum incêndio por aí?
@kwladarz16 сағат бұрын
I don't believe that at the time when we were there there was any recent fire around Passadicos Barranco Do Demo - there was no burnt remnants visible, no charcoal on the ground and when driving there everything was green. it is quite rocky terrain so maybe that gave you this impression.

Have you see anything more than one jellyfish?
@kwladarzАй бұрын
Hi, yes - there is reef with hard and soft corals, but not too many fish. Still nice to snorkel, but don't expect to see tonnes of amazing colourful fish - this is not really the place for that. beaches there are quiet and beautiful and that was the reason we went there - no tourists, no noise - just peace and quiet. Be aware of the sandflies on the beach!

Great video with good detail about reefs, dining etc. Could I ask, did you see a lot of kids there or how was the general noise level from children? We are considering Emerald for next Maldives holiday. Thanks
@kwladarz4 ай бұрын
Thanks Judith :) As you can see on clips we've been there just before Christmas and even that resort was almost fully occupied there weren't many kids at all. Just before when we were about to leave there was more families arriving for Christmas / New Year stay, but again, there was no issue with children running around, being noisy and making any sort of havoc. We have really enjoyed this place, especially the reef which is meters away from the beach, service and food was excellent too and we have had a bit of heaven on Earth for ourselves!

How do you buy a boat ticket to that island?
@kwladarz4 ай бұрын
Hi. The best was is to get the speedboat organized via accommodation on the island as it is quite tricky to get booking online with anyone and on the day of travel there might be no seats available. You will probably even struggle to find where and how to book when on the airport. It is a bit of "organized mess" on the speedboat jetty - hundreds of boats arriving and leaving during a day, no departure/arrival information in any kind or form and no one to give you direction. So, when we have booked via accommodation (and we have done that the same way travelling to all local islands), they will tell you where to go, the name of the boat and crew will know your name. You don't pay to the crew, but on arrival at your accommodation. Cost was USD130 return per person and if I remember correctly it was less than 2 hours ride. If you want to travel to other islands on different atolls then in most cases you will need to come back to Male and grab another boat from there.

Which island did you like more? Cannot decide🫣 Think the beach es are better in Dhigurah but the island is so long. Dont know which Island is best for us? We have only 6 nights with 2 older children,👍
@kwladarz5 ай бұрын
Hi, I would recommend Dhigurah - it is not a big island at all and walking makes a nice difference - it is nice stroll to the end point, where sandbanks are - 20 to 30 minutes max, through a bit of jungle and then through lovely beach. Sandbanks are really nice during low tide as you can get to them easily through shallow water and you can have your own small island for a while :) It is quieter on the beach and still you will get nice places to eat during evening. Ukulhas was very packed and very touristy. On both island you can get decent snorkeling and you can arrange trips.

Is there a bus that takes you to the sculpture park? With the horses are.
@kwladarz5 ай бұрын
Hi, as far as I know there is no bus which would take you there. We were walking from the cruise terminal which was 5 or 6km each way (easy 90 minutes stroll each way). You could get by public bus to get closer, but still you would need to walk from main road to the seashore - google shows at least 30 minutes walking.

Both if you can - Fulhadhoo is least touristy and very beautiful. Dhigurah offers more - trips to see manta rays, whale sharks etc.

Hi kwladarz, Wow it's amazing and too too many fishes, would you mind to share some tips about staying in Emerald, I'm planning trip there very soon, thanks
@kwladarz7 ай бұрын
I would recommend to use app and prebook in advance restaurants for lunch and dinner as well as any classes as on arrival there could be low availability or even none. Teppanyaki Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. There is no issue with free water activities - kayaks etc. were always available. Not sure which villa you have booked - snorkelling of the sunset side starts just from water villa, the sunrise side I think is not so good. Snorkelling from the jetty is pretty good too. We did not use any extra activities or experiences offered there - we were staying later on another three local island where trips are for a quoter of the price or even less than Emerald would charge. For us stay there was relaxing but still quite active - we were in the water swimming and snorkelling for hours. We did not use theirs diving centre either. Foodwise - pretty good, drinks and cocktails really good, island looked like empty and many times there was just us around swimming pool or bar and on the beach - but resort was almost fully sold out. If you have any questions I will be happy to help.

@kwladarz8 ай бұрын
Hi, I am glad that you've liked the video. We went through hotel and they were using GoDivers Maldives. With whale sharks it is 50/50 chance to see them - we were lucky. We were in the water for over three hours trying to find some sharks and then when we have gave up and we were heading back the skipper spotted one. To be honest ocean is big and these animals are not pets to call them so if you will be unlucky try again - it is really worth to do that. Good luck!
