you are using the fingerings of the alto recorder on a soprano?

@@DaniellePaquin The two fingering system are German and Baroque. You can use both on the soprano and the alto recorder, depending on the system of your recorder.

@@adefidipoayodele I am sorry, sir, I play the recorder. It is not a question of german or baroque fingering. When you say sol-do, sol-do, at the beginning of the anthem, it is in reality re-sol, re-sol, that your fingers are playing. D is re, and G is sol It would indeed be sol-do if your were playing with an alto recorder, not with the soprano.

@@DaniellePaquin As we have 12 keys on the piano, so it is on the recorder. Soprano Recorder is a concert instrument...meaning when a pianist play on key C, you also play on key C as a recorder player. However Alto recorder is F instrument. This lesson is made with Soprano. And I mentioned that I'll be playing on key G, and not key C. D is so on key G......D is re on key C. So it all depends on the key you are playing on.

@@adefidipoayodele I checked your lesson on the G scale, and it is perfectly correct. When you explain it, you use the system of letters , as note names, A B C D E F G . That is OK. But with the anthem, you use the other system DO RÉ MI FA SOL LA SI, but at the wrong places on the recorder. A is LA, B is SI, C is DO, F is FA, G is SOL,

The notes are C D and Eb. For the low notes. Cover all for C. Open the last finger for D. For the Eb, use the one used in the video. That is the start note!
