I just fixed mine, here is what you do. The left side typically will have the spring assembly and will be the side without the bar. If your blinds are falling down (or perhaps even going upwards), take the blinds down, stick a large flathead screwdriver into the + on the left side while holding the white plastic around the +. If you don't hold the housing around it when putting the flathead screwdriver into the +, all of the tension will unwind. If the blind is falling down, you don't have enough tension so you need to wind the + with the screwdriver quite a few times while going CLOCKWISE, and count how many you do in case you mess it up or it's not enough tension. Once you think you've built enough tension in the inner spring you can reinstall the blinds and test it. If you've built enough tension it should be enough to hold the blinds from falling. I suspect if you go TOO FAR, your blinds could possibly go upwards by themselves so be aware of that situation. I actually found it easier to visually inspect the spring while winding it and took the entire spring assembly out of the blinds, can you do that easily by pulling the + housing from the left side of the blind, it will come out. Hope this helps some people out there who are struggling with this same issue.

I've got a tip for using Torx bits which are too short & don't protrude enough from a recessed hole- grind a slot on the end of your bit with your Dremel, and then use a screwdriver to turn it!

The problem was the rubber basket seal. I ended up buying a new flush valve on amazon. These phantom flushes are a real problem, so much water wasted.

To fix leaking, consider putting the silicon rubber valve between papers under a warm iron for a few minutes.

Cut-out the faulty part, (I used my Multi-tool), then drill through the hole until it comes out of the middle of the handle attachment. Make the hole big enough for the hose to go throgh. Push the hose through the hole then put a hose connection on the end of the hose. Now thread the other end of the hose through the reel and then out through the original out-let of the casing. Job done 😊. Now the hose doesn't have any connections in the casing / cassette it's just one compleat hose end to end. PS Also, it will now be very easy to replace the hose when it gets old. If you need help, I will get back to you at some point.

So it looks like the spring was the wrong way as the blind was swapped to the other side of the roller. I changed the tension of the spring and rewound it the other way. Then it worked. To retention take the blind off and pish in the plastic cross at the far end. Once in it will unravel so push in a large flat nosed screw driver and turn it clockwise (or anticlockwise if you are tightening the spring the original way).

@@0072sy it’s been great, it’s running right now, so far it has run an hour and 45 minutes +, so it likely will return to its base soon. We have hardwood flooring and it has no problem with our Persian carpet or the orthopedic matting we have in the kitchen. The mop will fall off when it climbs on the mats but I was thinking about getting Velcro hook and pile to keep it there securely.

@@0072sy let me add, the first 2 days the Cat followed it everywhere but now, she completely ignores it. I do like it quite a bit. For wood floors, it really works great, and I no longer have to hurt my hip and my back cleaning dust bunnies from under the bed.

i know what usually causes this.......look inbetween the wheel underneath there is a changeover valve hose it looks like the hose that you connect your tools to but much shorter. Usually it has big gaping holes in it and needs to be replaced. To see where it located check out videos for it and check yours.

Sadly support for devices isn't great once it hits the shops. Overall I'm pleased with the Sony but they've reduced apps now and NetFlix crashes regularly. I had to buy a NowTV stick which was £15 and that had more apps on, so I have to switch AV channels to get the apps I want. No hardship but a shame the Sony TV can't do it natively.

@0072sy8 жыл бұрын
+padi mac Sorry for the delay - the wall brackets are included by Sony for this model (and many others from Sony I believe) There is about 45mm gap at the back due to cooling needed which I was concerned about as it looks naff being that far out, but a year on it's not hugely important now
