Thank you for the review! I have just tested the 2017 vintage of this Kaheti wine. It's a really great wine, medium to full bodied and very well balanced. It has strong cherry and blackcurrant notes, and a special earthy tone which I guess is characteristic of saperavi variety. Its fresh acidity reminds me of Pinot noir somehow. On top, this wine comes at a super price of 449 rubles ($7) here in Russia. Highly recommended 😀

I agree; I love Coole Swan. If you've stumbled upon this and never tried it, do yourself a favour and get a bottle.

Hahaha! Thank you Richard Storey oh great wise one of the wine world. Think you'll find this is classified a 'Bordeaux Blend' which can be a mixture of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. But you knew that already of course. This wine as described in the video is Cabernet dominant with Merlot. We neglected to add that there was a little Petit Verdot and Malbec too. Maybe you didn't know that? We can only imagine your horror! So not quite 50:50 in any case. Incidentally no spec sheet was available with this wine to read so we used our magic powers of deduction to come up with the grape breakdown being that it's Bordeaux, Medoc and a very good year = highly likely to have a higher % Cabernet than Merlot. Apologies if we were 1-2% out in the mix but we're delighted it offended you enough to make it worthy of comment because now we know someone has actually has watched the video! Yay! Bessan Segur is a 50:50 blend of Cab Sauv and Merlot. This shop assistant clearly doesn't know his wines.
