Just bought my first olive tree. Will have fruit in 5 years. Won’t be pitting them by hand.

I'd like to know how the conveyor bars are spread wider through transit. Very nice machine indeed.

I got the same question for a long time, and i dont seems to find the awnser, have you found it since?
@fckmunch Жыл бұрын
@@rubix2148 i downloaded a paper on it but can't find it now, and don't exactly remember the explanation. It was complex maths anyhow. I think it would be possible to have a different chain with teeth running each compartment with a slightly wider gap between the teeth, simply catching the very end stroke of the last compartments revolution onto the new chain tooth. (Sorry, i find it hard to describe). I found another machine that runs much simpler to this (albeit, not as cool). This just works with deep paddles attached to a conveyor chain, resting on a downhill slope. As the chain carries the paddles forward, the bottom of the paddles slide down the slope increasing the angle and distance between eaxh one. The potatoes fall through as the gaps open. Simple but fascinating. I need to build one soon for our harvest, i will build the latter idea.

@@rubix2148 the link to the paddle type keeps getting deleted. Type in YTube: potato grader machine. Channel: Kheti Machinery. Its a green coloured machine.

@@fckmunch okay okay tanks a lot! Ill take a look soon! (Got a big exam tomorrow so yeah, that why i didnt respond sooner 😅)
@HamRocTrans4 ай бұрын
@@fckmunch It is not complex math at all. What causes the bars to spread wider as it moves further down the table is a rotating drum (or screw). The drum is installed parallel along the side of the table. There is a groove around the outside of the drum for the entire length in which the roller shafts are inserted. As the drum rotates the distance gradually increases between the grooves from one revolution to the next. This rotating drum pulls the rollers along the table and gradually pulls them further apart. Think of the drum as a screw or bolt. The difference being as the screw/bolt rotates the pitch gradually changes (threads get further apart) along the length of itself.
