According to my brother, William Wallace III, we are descendants of William Wallace. Randall? When I heard you say you lived in Tennessee I knew then that we are related my mother and father were born in Tennessee. I sent my DNA into CRI genetics, and it states that my ancestors are from Ireland and Scotland. Loved hearing you talk about all of this. Whoa really got to me.

Thank you, I loved this. Can you say again the name of the singer and song at the beginning of the podcast? (Not @camash though he is great too!)

Hi Kristen! Glad you enjoyed the interview! Are you talking about the songs I included in the audio podcast version of this interview? In Part 1 of the audio version of the interview, I include two songs from American singer Elaine Meyer. She doesn't have much available online right now, but if you want to connect with her, let me know and I can give you details. You can reach me directly via simplyscottish.com. Thanks!

...Wut? First off: faith does not equal willingness. Second off: EVERY choice entails consequences that we are not in control of. So again: WTF are you even saying? Truth involves the interplay of freedom (which you clearly do not even remotely understand the definition of, philosophically or syntactically) and responsibility? OMG...I'm dying to hear what you think responsibility is. And I'm absolutely certain that truth has nothing to do with whatever headspace either occupy in your addled mind. Clearly a better writer than a thinker, and based on the historic (truthful) value of the movie in question...not by much.

Adam, with respect, you are wrong in your knee-jerk reactions to Randall. And you are also disrespectful in the way you communicate your thoughts. Randall's wisdom is on clear display here. Freedom has to be defined or it is meaningless. Randall describes freedom as having faith or a willingness to make choices that have outcomes we can't necessarily determine ahead of time. He is showing the relationship between freedom and faith, freedom and responsibility, freedom and willingness. You're right - every choice we make is an act of faith, because living is an act of faith. That doesn't undermine what Randall is saying here. It supports it. Why don't you watch the full interview and see if it helps you better understand Randall's perspective. And then maybe in 2023, you can work on being more respectful in your dialogue with others!

Hi, and thanks for your comment. You’re right! I should have asked about that! Perhaps in another interview I will!
