Jest uważany za najważniejszy dzwon w historii Polski. On July 13th 1521 it rang for the first time. The bell was founded by Hans Beham and named after Polish king Sigismund I the Old, who commissioned it. It is regarded to be the most important bell in Poland’s history. The submission of the work is an equivalent of its personal authorization.
